My girlfriend just picked up a copy of Bioshock 2 for me for our anniversary because she knows how much I enjoyed and how many times I've replayed Bioshock. I'm excited to get started on what I'm sure is to be another classic and end up fighting with the worst piece of sh*t system ever created supposedly for PC gamers, Games for Windows Live. Yes this steaming pile is worse than any DRM I've ever had to deal with or heard of. What were you thinking? If you really needed a third party for the multi-player aspect of the game you could have gone to Valve but instead you went to Microsoft who, if anyone has been paying attention over the past few years, has proven they can't get a calculator to run right if it has anything to do with Games for Windows. Really wtf?!
Ok I feel a little better. Just so you know, I'm a 37 year old male who's been playing video games since Pong in my grandma's kitchen. I hate spending money on companies that screw over their customers and I feel that's what you just did by making me deal with an extremely buggy front end program to access what could be an excellent game. I haven't even got into Bioshock 2 yet and seen what I'm hoping will be worth getting past GFW every time I have the time to play and I already have a really bad opinion of this game. Is that what you were after? GFW, especially as a developer you should know this, is a useless piece of crap that you've now managed to link your work to. Really wtf were you thinking?
Don't worry I'm headed over to 2K to yell now too. Next time talk to a company that knows how to treat it's customers without getting in their way. Valve and Steam have problems but nothing even close to what GFW has.
Not usually, but feeling like I got screwed will get my ire up.
Irrational Games didn't work on BioShock 2. If you have any issues about it the best place to go is Cult of Rapture the official site for BioShock 2.
