    Reinstall

    So wheres the reinstall to reinstall a damaged part of the game?
    This will be the 3rd time a crash has forced me to reinstall it....

    Please explain how the crash has forced you to reinstall.

    What exactly happens, when does it happen and what errors are given?

    Also please post all of you system specs.

    3700+
    2GB CL2 400MHZ ramm
    7600 512MB PCI e
    Audigy 4

    the game was hard crashing with my realtec sound chipset so I switch to a audigy 4 I had.

    the game dose "ok" now but only after I reboot the computer before I play it.

    When it hard crashed and forced reboots the INI went missing or the EXE was corrupted I am on my 3rd install now archiving the whole installto save time if it happens again.

    After moving from AVG/realtec sound to kaversky and Audgy 4 the game is now playable but from not working to in game issues like locked keys(why is P locked?),lost keys(so I can use shift for any button but cant rebind LaunchPCWeaponSelection) the mouse lag/response issues are driving me insane.

    Also had issues with texture streaming (textures took forever to load or shifted from around randomly some loaded some not) but it went away after a reboot.


    I mean what the hell,where are the PC options wheres the repair options really it seems all the priorities for this clunker were for console and a prefect launch for the suits.


    BTW can you answer dose the install token go into effect for any install of them game?(meaning if I reinstall it on the same OS/PC) I have not had to put a key in since the first install.

    You would only use an activation if it was on a fresh install of windows or if you installed it on another PC.

    Try to rename the config.ini file. It may be that this has become corrupt if you have chosen to keep the save game files on a previous uninstall.

    So the tokens do not reset without a callin? 0-o


    I dumped the old saves after I dropped AVG and started to use the audgiy 4.


    playing with the mouse settings in the INI to get it to feel right

    tryign the IF_MOUSE_LOOK_ENABLED Axis aMouseX Speed= in the user ini.

    I managed to get it to run better with these settings

    IF_MOUSE_LOOK_ENABLED Axis aMouseX Speed= 4000(and it set to 1 in the option menu)
    I cant recall all the fiddling I did with it tho LOL so I will post the sections I changed, however I only halved the model shuddering, is there anythign else I can do to make the shuddering go away?

    streaming textures is still a problem and more annoying than the shuddering..
