The most pathetic thing I ever saw in the game was...

It just occurred to me that since we have been playing this game for quite some time, we might as well relate some of the most pathetic things we ever saw in the game.

Example: The most pathetic thing I ever saw in the game was England without a coast and Mongolia without horses, all on the same map.

Anybody else ever see something like that?

Did you play with the disable start bias option checked? Because for example England always starts on the coast on a pangea map.

Most pathetic thing that I saw in game: CS gifts me a Great Engineer which appears in the CS's territory (of course) of which every single hex is occupied by another unit. Hence, I can't move the GE, and I can't end the turn bc of the "move stacked unit" situation. I end up having to gift the GE back to the CS if I want to continue the game.

Honestly I can't remember whether I even continued that game after that.

I was playing multiplayer and trying to take over a city state. The dude I was playing with gifted like 5-6 mohawk warriors to the city state, which instantly teleported half-way across the map and over to the city states' territory on that turn. I raged. Then I lol'd.

I have one for single player and one for multi player.

Single Player- I started 2 games in a row, both times I spawned on an iceberg, and then I got frustrated and threw a spear through my computer monitor.

Multi Player- I was playing duel with someone obviously new to Civ, he kept building settlers and kept losing them to a barb camp next door. He didn't get a second city until about Turn 50. LOLOLOLOLOL

I turned off City-States in a recent game. Alexander went for Patronage anyway. That was pretty pathetic.

For some reason I needed pearls very badly. The only place where I could have them from was an allied city-state, which couldn't improve the resource, though (long story, I think the city was on the coast of another sea, which was disjointed from the sea where the pearls were). So I decide to send a work boat on what was nearly a suicide mission. The boat miraculously arrived at its destination, bravely dodging whatever dangers there were on the way... only for me to find out that (naturally) it could not improve tiles that do not belong to me.

So, the most pathetic thing in the whole situation was that... I couldn't gift the boat. I mean, what the heck?
