Codex, I love you!! This is awesome news!!
DOPE! Do we know if its single player or multi...or both?
No, and like usual we cant get a response from anyone. I dont know how they are going to sell any copies of this game, no one knows about it.
@King Jelly
they have done numerous attempts at getting Spec ops The Line out there to the public, this month has been tremendous just check out all the Video previews they have had just this month on Youtube and several other written previews as well.
Live stream going up with the biggest names on youtube showing off three multiplayer game modes with Ernest Le, FuzzyOtterBalls, Crream, Optic Diesel, TMarTn, and GoldGlove, these guys have probably 1 million subscribers combined

Single player demo coming real soon, 30 minute Mp playthrough plus extensive Single Campaign vids

these guys are trying really hard to get this game out there.
It's the demo from PAX East, according to Elizabeth on twitter. I would assume, therefore, that it's the SP demo.
Nice surprise![]()
Great, though I presume it will mean Wednesday for PS3 players in the EU.
Probablythe ps store update system is very annoying for eu, even worse since they introduced ps+
Demo is on XBL now.
Great demoit is SP only.
Do like the way as with other recent 2k demos it's not as it will appear in the retail, keeps the spoilers down.
Looks great, sounds great, nice graphics & animations, good controls as well. Production values are good on voice acting and cinematic bits.
The pacing is very good which i was a little worried about although its clearly an action game there's enough there to give it a hint of realism, my only critisim is it really needed a firing rate toggle where appropriate, it's very easy to rattle through the ammo on your primary weapon but I got a little better at conserving it after a while, silencers for stealthy bits is a nice touch. I do much prefer slower more tactical gameplay & hopefully there will be more stealthy bits.
AI is ok, team mates did stand shooting at cover occasionally and enemies seem to rely on numbers instead of intelligencebut still not bad, the limited order controls work quite well.
Shame the other two difficulty levels are locked but I can imagine the hardest being a good challenge based on the demo, really enjoyed it, just take my money already![]()

What about a PC demo?
The twitter news only said ps3/360 so presume no pc demo, shame as I really wanted to try both.
According to Joystiq the demo has both SP and MP http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/08/sp...reaches-today/ which is really nice. Does anyone know what code the demo is using? I know Codex said it could be the demo from Pax East which would make sense. I'm only asking this question because people have a very bad habit of thinking the demo is the final product which could influence them negativity. If they find out the code used in the demo is 4 - 8 months old it could make them feel better.
I feel stupid but I can't seem to find anywhere in the demo to play multiplayer. I can only play the campaign.
Yeah... I'm fairly certain that the PAX demo didn't have MP (someone can correct me if wrong - I wasn't there and it's just based off of my watching the livestream). BUT I could be wrong. I just doubt it given that they're doing a livestream demo of the MP tomorrow (I believe)
This thread has all the details![]()
Damn you Joystiq!
Just played the demo, and the demo alone has put this at my #1 game of all time. It was actually the longest demo I've ever played.
Hey guys,
The demo is single player only, but if you want to see the multiplayer in action, you should definitely check out the huge livestream event we're running tomorrow!

I know this is old news to everyone else, but discovering that TRON (Bruce Boxleitner) is in this game almost promoted it to a day one buy for me.
I enjoyed the demo, but I felt that it didn't really showcase a whole lot of what might set this game apart from the countless other military shooters out there. That being said, I wouldn't want the demo to spoil the game.
What I honestly think is going to set it apart is the story, Illusion. What's been thrown around as an influence is really interesting: Heart of Darkness, Apocalypse Now and other things have been thrown around as examples of what to expect. I just get the feeling that nothing, anywhere, that we've seen so far is quite what it seems.
Also, I'm reitterating what I said on the PAX East livestream, Lugo is fantastic and I love him.
I totally agree. Like I said, it's understandable that if the story is the real surprise here they want to save the surprise for the full experience. The unfortunate side effect, though, is that the Demo doesn't really give you a lot of reasons why this will be different than Call of Battlefield 38 other than the setting.
