Can't host lan game in civilization 5.

Hello, i'm trying to play civilization 5 with my friend in lan mode using an ad hoc network but my friend have problems in his game.

I can host a game with no problem but he can't find my game and he also can't host a game. When he clicks in the host game button nothing happens.

Both of us turned off the firewall's.

Can someone help me on this, i really want to try civilization in multiplayer.

try to connect the pcs directly with a crossover cable if you have one, that should solve the problem.
