Thanks nog... Just putting it in the more recognized format...
Friggin Aztecs again?!?
What is the most frequently used Civ by the GOTW programmers...? Lately, it has to be Aztecs...
It's random, not programmers, now they do nothing, they did it ~3 years ago.
It's not hard to take Tenchotitlan2600 BC with luck. I needed 1 hour to take Tenochtitlan and Rome. Rome is very far from AI's capitals so it's not easy to be ready for walk outs. Tenochtitlan is central, no problem with Madrid and Kyoto after walk outs but CoL very late. Also: only 3 mountains, with Mongol bonus 62 hammers / 1 turn, not so bad.
I cant do much this week, i tried taking aztecs pre 3000BC w/warriors but thats impossible.... then i tried 7cog-HBR which is fun but a bit anemic and i cant do much as far as taking civs.... i suppose its back to walkouts but its hard to get there on time.
7cog is about 7-8 turns away from my cap and im having problems seeding SoC for a good outcome... Perhaps ill try noob strat. maybe good? I can get 8 or 10 cities from barbs and maybe a few from AI so already half way to democ.... anyway doesnt look like a BC week (for me) so ill just mess around from here on........
I was bored so i figured i'll back this statement with some facts so..........
AI civs Last GotW cycle (last 15 weeks+last americans):
8 times : Aztecs(also 5 of last 6, not including Aztecs week)
6 times : German, Japan
5 times : Roman, Spain, France, Arab
4 times : USA, India, Zulu, Mongol
3 times : Greek
2 times : Egypt, English
1 time : China
0 times : Russia
So your aztecs theory stands but its due to luck![]()

You can't win 3 vs 6 (vs 7, vs 8)and they can't be wounded (veteran from barbs? very late - if possible).
Two ways:
-Tenochtitlan (LA used)
-Rome (KT used)
Both ways: very hard to take 3rd AI's capital.
I did 100 BC tech with no proofs(posted as 50 AD, 1st run after taking 3 caps), 200 BC is possible and useless (due to no proofs). I expected far slower scores and spammed 50 cities (too much) at 1000 BC. This week Republic at 2100 BC.
0 AD Cultural shouldn't be very hard. 100 BC is very hard, GB from SoC is critical (but i tried 4 seeds and never got GB). Especial production city is very bad - only 2 mountains!
EDIT: i did 1700 BC Dom on Deity - perfect for me (KA used - 4 moves / 1 turn).
