Probloms connecting getting stuck in lobby!

WELL NOW, I know this is a problem in general BUT I have got the latest updates for the bioshock 2 and well I cannot even get INTO a multiplayer game, I have done the whole 'ooaahh your awake and you can change your helmet thing' but as soon as I choose a nice civil war match and get into the elavator, 'MESSAGE lost connection........' Why in the mother of the lord, all I wanna do is freeze and shotgun some people.

My internet connection is pretty great and fast :/ Iam using a laptop but, oblivion, fallout new vegas and bioshock 1 & regular game 2 play perfectly fine? I just need a little help realy or any info on it? I have the latest drivers and such but poor ickle me wants to cause big trouble in little china and it no happnin!.
