Game wont launch after I choose dx9 or dx11

    Hi Guys,

just changed my motherboard and therefore had to reinstall. As in the title the game wont start.

I know it has something to do with the creation of the civ5 folder in My documents/My games folder. The game doesnt create.

I remember that i have to do something to enable steam to access those folders

    Solution tried so far
    booting in safe mode
    re-installing dx9 and dx11
    running vcredit
    running steam in administrative mode
always verifying the game cache in between to get the 1 file that unable the game to start a new install.

does anybody remember the solution to that problem?

There are a few things that can cause it, Can you, in addition to your DXDIAG, download "Hijack This" and post the resulting logfile here.
