National Wonder Splash Screens

Something like







So what images would you use for the 8 standard National Wonders? (Anybody want to provide them???)

1. Circus Maximus
2. Hermitage
3. Heroic Epic
4. Iron Works
5. National College
6. National Epic
7. National Treasury
8. Oxford University

And if I can work out how to associate the images, how about the 2 standard projects

• Apollo Program
• Manhattan Project

Would be fine also having xml tags for "quote" in the left and "effect" in the right, like WWs already have. (National treasury and college don't show properly the effect they do, in your examples)

There are three fields on the splash screen - "Description", "Quote" and "Help" - so long as they have values they will display, but by default the National Wonders don't have those entries, so whatever mod adds the images will also need to add the text (my test mod doesn't do this, which is why they are missing)

It was fun (frustrating, like all mods that involve hacking the UI, but fun)

Now all I need are 10 decent images (or 11 counting the Keyhole Project). If only one of the people involved in the "More Wonders" mod would read this ...

I've uploaded the mods (see http://forums.2kgames.com/showthread...Splash-Screens) but they could do with

a) better graphics
b) possibly better quotes
c) lots more testing

I'm getting an intermittent problem where only one "non-zoomed" splash shows if two (and probably more) World Wonders/National Wonders/Projects are completed in the same turn by the same player (unlikely during play I suspect) - almost certainly due to the mods sharing the same popup dialog as the game engine and having to bend it to my will - so probably not somethimg I'll be able to diagnose/fix without the core DLL source.

Hey guys, I'm on it!


My mod for this weekend is actually the Apollo Project as a wonder, I'm making the Space race start with Project Longshot, so there'll be a splash screen for that. The others I'll try and get done, can't say they'll be any good by I'll do my best
