This week we are the Aztecs.
Others civs are:
-Indians (close E, walk in)
-Mongols (N)
-Zulu (NE)
-Germans (very far NE)
Artifacts:
-SoC (8E 7S from Zimbabwe)
-KT (8E from Zimbabwe)
-Atlantis (somewhere).
Easy map, walk in, good production.

Takes a seed to get IW... I got BW one first walk-in, then bought BW second try and got nothing! So you have to experiment...
Easy with a good strat... My first game was AD...
Ahhhhh, the Aztecs with walk-in, its sure good to be back!!
From the few tries i got in yesterday i was able to get Delhi+IW at 3600 (easy, 3800 settle, caravan, and like you said, John, buy BW and get the desired IronWorking with 59 gold)
From there, very easy to take 2 more civs (hardly any seeding needed) so for me, i can do one of two scenarios:
1.zimbabwe 3000, karakarum 2600 or
2.zimbabwe 2900 (LA m+b,spy), karakarum 2800 (LA m+b, hill, warrior on galley)
So obviously i chose the second option..... there are 4 friendly huts and i couldnt pop CoL at 2700,2600,2500 (i keep getting popping spies, even if i have one out on the field) and at 2400 i can get it through teching. Not sure if thats enough for BC win (for me).... I hope ill have time to post something this week....
Also for dom with this opening only berlin is left after 2800 so it should fall pretty quickly, even if brute force is needed..... We'll see![]()
Welcome back Mag!
If you are getting spies repeatedly... Quit the game and reopen... I think K says this is a glitch...
Cash is on top Dom Diety 1900BC.
I'm 2nd 1800BC.
I'm obsessed with early 100g set at 3300bc so I'm losing turns to get to Zim in time for only As.
Got the dream HA, MBI... took Berlin then back for Zim with GG and LA support.
Mongs I saved for last and attacked 2200BC 12LA/bltz vs 8 (took GL earlier) and of course lost to AI upset. So I'll have to have additional unit there...
Trying for 2100/2000... Don't know if possible

It's not glitchit's seed / bad luck (sometimes chains of caravans, ... of spies, ... of techs).
The same with me, techs are later. It's reason why i'm so slow. I posted 200 BC Cultural V., 1st run, few mistakes (i tried to get 1st GP from 150 cultural points but 138/150 and 500g). Of course 0 GB (like usually). I need CoL far earlier (if 2700 BC then 400 BC will be possible).
No brute force, i can take Berlin at 2700 BC (&Karak., if i want), so 2600 BC is perfect for Dom.
OK I pushed it to 2200BC. I can only get one LA to Berlin to attack at 2400 then the second LA defeats at 2300.
At 2500 Berlin only has 2As (galley scout)... But can't get there by 2600...
K says it is possible by 2700...!?!
Yes, settlers from Zimbabwe + galley from new city. I did 2600 BC.
Yesterday i posted on Deity:
-300 BC cult - perfect without GB
-400 BC Cultural V. - perfect with 1GB (still CoL at 2400 BC)
I can see 500 BC with 2GB from SoC - lol - impossible. Without techs from huts 200 BC is possible.
Attack from galley or drop off?
Finally!! 2400 Dom. Best I can get, and it took longer than I'd like to admit... Your move, JohnAnd Jason, if you read here.. Kadera, I don't even want to know how to take Berlin by 2600.
Last move: Attack Berlin(w/spy sent in first), with LA(M+B) twice, then single March legion takes it same turn. Units all dropped off from Galley the previous turn.
Drop off, similar like Wool (and better).
Don't read my spoiler
3800 BC settle next to barbs
3600 BC caravan to Delhi, walk in (Delhi + IW)
3000 BC Zimbabwe + BW (LA+spy)
2900 BC 100g settlers (in Zimbabwe)
2700 BC Karakorum
-------------------------
for Dom:
2900 BC 100g settlers, settle, rush galley, LA via road on galley
2800 BC Knights from KT
2700 BC Berlin (9 vs 8, 9 vs 6, Knights from galley vs GL 3 vs 0), Karakorum
-------------------------
2400 BC CoL, Lit, Curr from huts
1600 BC Ind + Corp from huts
1500 BC Democracy
1100 BC Railroad, Iron Mine
I did that seed on Sunday... LA M/B spy 3000 Z and lose 9 vs 7. I wait one turn for LA M/B/I and attack 2900 and Z has AA 27.
First atk on Zim(2 attacks, LA M+B) for me was 3000 without using the spy, he just stays w/the army until Berlin, where I'd lose if I didn't use him.
As far as K's strat, as usual there's a gap in his spoiler(3600-3000) where I can't see how he gets from one point to the other. I can't take Zim till 2900 the earliest, because I only have the LA there and need to attack 3x to take the city. K's strat mentions LA+Spy to take Zim, don't know how you can take the city in one turn like that, without another offensive unit. Then again, I send the caravan in the other direction from Delhi to pick up 35g(named tile+hut), then sell it(after naming 1 more tile the next turn). So obviously our methods differ, starting early, though I also take Delhi+IW in 3600. Anyway, I'm satisfied w/my score and won't try to post better. Kudos to Kadera though, nice job as usual..

Ok, I can see it...
Zim at 3000 by LA/BM two attacks, second L/M takes GL)
2900 settlers SE SE settle w/militia, rush galley far west sea tile, build roads from Zim to new city, load LA/BM and L/M from Zim,
send galley (now 2 tiles from Ger)
2800 Galley advances N (NW?) N drops units on both tree tiles
2700 LA/BM wins twice, L/M takes GL,
also LA/BM +spy takes Kar
Yah in my dreams... I can't materialize that L/M
Kadera,
unless you built a second Galley from Del some time between 3700BC - 3500BC you can't pick up KT in time...
(is this the missing move in K's gap?)
Wool,
Again, great job with all your efforts and postings...
I can take Zim at 2900 (found seed) but like you, can't get the extra unit there to take same turn at 3000
and excecute my dream (above post)
Lots of frustration over one or two turns!!!
Yep, getting KT in time, I can't see how. Our strats are different from the start tho. I only use a spy on Berlin, for instance. No way I'm starting again... good luck!
Thanks Kadera for the extra info...
Woolg it was a fun and somewhat frustrating week... I have a plan for the future...
