Updates? Patches?

I've been browsing through the threads but I can't find any references to any updates/patches being done to the game. I've been playing a couple of months and haven't noticed any. So i thought I'd check the forums, but no threads relating to updates or patches. Have any been done? Are any planned? And if there is a thread relevant to updates/patches could one of the moderators please sticky it?

Other than a roll-back to the old game skin, there has been no further updates since December 2, 2011. Thus, we can conclude that Sid Meier and his team have abandoned Civilization World.

I believe they have stopped announcing patches, but there are many 'first occurrences' appearing periodically. There was a mass civBuck disappearance a week(?) ago... I think that is indicative of a patch. My guess is that the game is now marginal, but they are using it to iron out Facebook engine issues for future possible forays into the space.

CivBuck disappearances have nothing to do with game updates. I read in the past that Civbucks are recorded separately on some secure payment server, if that server goes down or goes under maintenance, the actual game will not be able to connect to it and it will show the player having 0 CivBucks.

Still not the case though, just rearranges the cause and effect a bit... Don't want Random_User to accuse me of practicing bad science again. Civbucks do always disappear during civWorld updates. New theory... since all the updates I have witnessed since september have allowed different uses for civbucks, the civbuck server has had to upgrade to accomodate the changes with the new update.

But I do take your point. Although upgrades do always appear to make civbucks disappear, that does not mean disappearing civBucks is the result of an upgrade.

Not anymore. But Sid personally helmed this game. You can clearly see this on many sites.
