    Help Buying Graphics Card

I have a Dell Latitude E6400 laptop (I know...), Intel Core2 Duo 2.5GHz, 1.95GB Ram with no graphics card, and I know nothing about hardware. Can anyone recommend a graphics card that will run Civ V but not cost me an arm and a leg? Say, no more than $150?

    From the Dell website:
    Video Card

    NVIDIAŽ QuadroŽ NVS 160M5 256MB DDR25
    IntelŽ Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
I'm not sure, but my guess is that upgrading just the GPU is near to impossible...

I can't find any indication, anywhere on the 'net, that the OP's laptop even has a slot to PUT a video card into.

So the answer, really? Boils down to the tired and over-used "get a new computer".

    Sorry, OP.

Yeah, it's what I was afraid of; I did poke around the machine and wasn't able to find any space that could reasonably fit a graphics card. Ah well, FreeCiv carries on I suppose.

Depending on how much money you would like to spend and if you use an external monitor you could always go with a a egpu. Here is a link with some really good info on it. Your laptop should have a ExpressCard 54 port to use for this.
