Problem with save games

When I save a game, and then exit Civilization 5 and re-enter it, all the save games hav have vanished. Steam warned me when I installed Civilization 5 that there was a problem with save games, I forget the exact message it gave me; it was something like the save folder is not properly synched up to the game, or to Steam. Can someone please help me sort this out?

Can you post your dxdiag?

Do you use the Steam cloud to save your games?
If so, that notification means, that it hasn't completely synced your games. Therefor when you log back in, they are gone...

Thanks for the replies. It's working fine now anyway, I don't know why.
