New Future Units idea: Cyborg Infantry and Android Droid Infantry

i have a new Future Units idea: Cyborg Infantry and Android Droid Infantry.

massive infantrys but with low intelligence.

human elite future clone infantry and normal regular human infantry is more expensive to build but more effective in fight! better in Defense and Attack, and have a trap bonus!

I'm not crazy about the idea of Android Droid Roid infantry

If they do another Civ 5 expansion, I would really enjoy playing in the future era.

bah, regular human infantry is so 21st century, their regular pea-sized brains can't compute data as fast as our cyborg supercomputer brains, and their weak squishy muscles are no match to our liquid cooled piston powered monstrosities

    ALL HAIL OUR CYBORG OVERLORDS!

I wouldn't mind it something like BTS Next War, a scenario you have the option to play added on to the end of the base game. That could actually be really cool. Also, isn't Android Droid redundant?

    no people,

    no mods! no scenario!

i want the cyborg army, droid army, clone army, and normal elite human infantry implemented in the normal game!

    @funy
    why?

Normal Humans have always more life expierenceand their are always more intelligent to make traps.
Dont underestimate human brains trap capacity

Unmanned Ground Vehicles and Unmanned Ground Combat Vehicles already exist (UGV and UGCV). The US plans to mass produce them and use them in the next big war. Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAV's) are already being used. The US has over 10,000 of them in use at this time. See this link:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unmanned_ground_vehicle

It is ironic that the real world has actually gone ahead of a fictional game like Civ V.

Soon real war will immitate video games like Civ V.

Aren't Unmanned Ground Combat Vehicles just a subcategory of Unmanned Ground Vehicles? Ergo, "Unmanned Ground Vehicles already exist" would do the trick.

The US plans to mass produce them and use them in the next big war.
Have they got next big war all planned out yet, or are they just hedging their bets?

Except for the part where the vehicle runs into a crippling issue that would only require minor attention to aright if there were an actual person there to address it. Nobody there swap out a blown fuse or change a spark plug or cold boot a computer system or whip out a shovel. Remember that Mars rover that got stuck in the sand?

Obviously, remote-controlled aircraft are much more practical, mainly because their engagements are more limited.

But they're also much safer than sending out real men.

It'd be interesting to see wars fought with the best robotics rather than with human blood.

The US always hedges its bets on the next big war. That's why you have a military, to be ready for the next war occurs. (and it always does) As to if they have the next one planned out? Heck yes! That's called war planning and every big military power does it.

Thank you for that deep nugget of insight.

I would posit that war does not always occur, and is in fact avoided far more often than not.

I think the US, in the Cold War, had planned scenarios as to what the American military would do in the event of a war against almost any major, and semi-major, power of the time. They literally had full-drawn plans for almost every scenario. I think they even had one in the event of war between themselves and Canada.

US has been in continuous war since 1941. The last Congressional Declaration of War was in 1942 against Romania. If we ever got peace, our economy would probably go into total collapse.

I'm sure we are already geared up to invade Iran but just need a good reason to do so. When the Iranians see all those robotic ground vehicles moving into Tehran, they may think Martians invaded them.

During the 1930's we had War Plan Red ready to invade Canada and fight a two front war against Japan and the British Empire. See this for what could have happened: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_Plan_Red

"In 1939 it was decided that further planning was no longer applicable but that the plan be retained. War Plan Red was declassified in 1974."

It would be great if Civilization VI could allow a more flexible setup of time periods, maps and all nations involved in any war. Then we could even play out War Plan Red on the game board.
