    New Ideas: Sneak Alien Invasion and newspaper reports like in civ 1...

    for example: newspaper info at the year 2040 : flash flash flash....secret society and pyramids on mars discovered!

    do you want to take part in the space run for mars?

    --------

    or a example for alien invasion:

    A alien race of unknown descent has made a great invasion on earth.

    will u rally together with the remaining civilizations in an earth alliance againts the alien threat or will u fight on your own?

    ================================================== =======================

    the questions u read above could be options for the further gameplay of the user.

    i hope in a new addon: CIV 5 - Alien Contact , this ideas could be real

    I like this idea. I really do. It would be very fun and surprising.

    Hey, that'd be a cool idea actually. Make random global events that occur late game, and maybe even make them alternate victory conditions "Assault Alien city to capture alien tech and win a special tech victory" etc.

    As long as they include a toggle for the more outlandish global random events (ie the space invasion) so I could turn it off in the menu I would be down

    Also during early era's a space ship could hover over a cow resource tile for a couple turns, suck one up, and change the tile stats by +1 culture, -1 food (+2 culture once broadcasting is teched or a great artist improves the tile)

    I would love random events back in any form. Realistic, wacky, sci-fi, all of the above.

    to capture a alien city to gain secret tech...
    that would be a good new option too, yes

    but the newspaper reports like in civ1 must be implented again definetivly.
