Me and Mawpawk were scratching out heads on a new king title and came up with this. There are four civs - Mongol, China, Japan & India. Best of five and you can only use a civ twice that you have lost with. We're going to kick this off now and will report back here how we get on! (Mongol COR Thebes is looking a must!!)
Mawpawk won the trial version of this title comprehensively but the first game I had an awesome start as China versus his mongols and it froze :-( The next game he gets awesome start taking spain and I lose WA to germany so I call it.
I was pissed off still at the previous game and he won the next two with relative ease.
We decided to play it out again and had some cracking games which went 2-2 with a Japan mirror as the final as we had both lost with Japan & Mongol. I ruin his backdoor for the win!! It's the only way I seem to get Pawka these days through the back door!! He'd took Berlin but when he came back for Kyoto I was ready.

hmmm yor kinda right about the title conflicting with current tournies in place.....id probly vote 4 a change of name , or maybe even 2 not include it as a king title at all
Im not hating...just curious...I was all ready to sign up for the tourney..
King of the East? Or like I said originally king of the former Mongol Empire? But I think that omits Japan. I'm not great on civ history.
I just don't see much fun in this tourney... China will win almost everyone of their games and Mongols will lose almost everyone one of theirs... Let me find out I'm being a drag.
You have to be very tactical in civ selection which brings a whole new ball game to the table in my opinion. Mongols can be uber powerful with careful planning and a decent start.
When can we finish liam.....I had 2 huts already and got france and the knight wonder the turn after you dissappeared.......
Sorry Grizz my son landed so I had to dash sharpish. I think I had a hut and wasn't in bad shape either as Japan. I'm on now?

i would urge not 2 allow this title or any other future title that replicates cup tournies, but if the general consensus sez othawise then so be it
I agrre with Pawk. Lets wait till Africa is done and then set up an Asian tourney. It gets more involved that way plus we could just play the four games if it's a league format and then five when we get to deciders.
