Not entirely true.

If the heavy doesn't take the rocket launcher, they can equip a pistol as a sidearm with LMG as primary.

Slightly out of date- from the videos I've seen, the heavy carries a pistol and the rocket launcher, as well as the LMG. You can see the swap pistol with main weapon option when the demonstrator switches between actions in the following archived stream: http://www.twitch.tv/2k/b/314356244

Yea I played it back in slo mo. You are correct, the rocket launcher does not occupy a "weapon slot". It is a power activated like any other, with limited charges. Therefore, as you rightly said, the heavy has a primary weapon (LMG in most cases), a sidearm (pistol), and a rocket launcher as a power.

Don't worry ! Im hopeful that they will release a new video at E3 and we can play it back in slow motion, analyze every pixel, and come out with wild conclusions.
