From what I've been reading, 2k Sports is also a disaster

So everyone pissy about 2k sucking major balls on Civ Rev, you're not alone.

I bought MLB 2k12 because my Rangers are finally good and it's really made me enjoy baseball again. Well, the game used to be pretty badass from what I'm reading until 2k bought the exclusive rights to develop the game.

They were all over the forums before the game came out, once it was released, 2k disappeared.

There are ALL KINDS of bugs in this game. In fact, the main feature MLB Today Season doesn't even work at all. This game would be pretty dope too if they just got it right. BTW, there is a.... get this..... PAUSE GLITCH in this game. There was one last year, too and apparently they didn't get it fixed...

2k is no where to be found. No sign of a patch, nothing. What a joke. I think I'm officially done w/ 2k. I will never buy another one of their products.

hmm they are the only ones to make a sufficiently sophisticated strategy game on the console (civ rev) so even if they created a half arsed version of Civ I on console I'd probably still buy it.... it's a Monopoly damn it!!!
Of course I'd be ok with just playing single player on it too... pause glitches and advisor clashes can be avoided there.

i think they made an awesome strtegy game here. they were only limited by revenue or they would have patched it to perfection. if they ever make another one they will use their experience (and ours) to make it near perfect. as far as sports goes i love how they are still advertising the 1,000,000 payoff for a perfect game. i bet they paid that within a day or two of release.

Are there any numbers to indicate how well Civ Rev sold compared to other video games? I have a feeling it didn't do well enough to justify a sequel.

I disagree with most of this. Perfect games are very hard and it is highly unlikely that it occured within the first few days. You can't play on easy settings and have it count. And considering how buggy most of their games are I doubt they would have fixed Civ. They would rather blame the players than admit fault on their part.

That's possible (if they ever even pay it), but it seems a lot of people are entered into it. I think it's a month long. I'm prob not even going to enter it because this is the first baseball video game I've played in over a decade.

I forgot how much I enjoyed BB games tho and I can't seem to put it down. I've got an online record of 27-12 and for a noob, that ain't bad!

This is exactly what everyone on the forum is saying. Everyone is super pissed that this game is so buggy and apparently 2k has been no where to be found since the release date. The NEW main feature MLB today season didn't even work opening week and everyone's season is already screwed. Everyone is complaining that the perfect game challenge isn't recording stats or recording wrong stats, etc. The game is flawed, but for the most part it is pretty good. Maybe it's just because I haven't played a BB game in so long that I don't what is good and what's not.

I don't understand how game developers can release any game without proper testing, and then basically waiting for complaints from gamers then patching the game. It is really lazy, and when you pay $80 to $100 per game it really pisses me the hell off.

That comment could be quoted directly from their forum website.
