Game 2. Ur warriors stood pal in ur city and made a great effort against my crazy Warrior army attacking you . Same here as in the first game - My warriors eventually broke through ur" Wall defence" and you lost.

Me and multi split. First game we both got Artists, which I thought was impossible. Learn something every dayI had a walk in on Mongols at 3500. If I would've kept my artist in my cap instead of scouting I could've still won but I didn't know it was possible for us both to have artists. He got 7cog but was pretty confident I still could've won. Had 2 vet Horsemen and AW a few turns away. Would've had 2 vet Ha's in roughly 5 turns and fundy a bit latter. My horsemen lost the typical 2-1.5 to multi after he flipped Karakorum so that was it. I got artist again in second game and flipped his brand new English city the turn he took it, with a vet HA in it

got my games in with rem, his america wins 2-0. the 1st game couldn't have started better for me. i settled 2nd turn while at the same time my ge got hbr from a friendly. cashed in my 50 gold but the stupid timer immediatly ran, costing me what might have been a crucial turn. i rushed horses the next 2 turns, attacking barbs in 2 directions. i got bw and alpha from 2 of my 1st 3 barbs. i spotted egypt at 3500, but hung back looking for a ride in. they had hgb so a warrior was in attendance. i should have attacked 3-? from the hill next to it, but didn't feel pressured to take the chance. a HA would soon be there. in the other direction my HA ran into a dead end and turned back. i took thebes but the same turn rem attacked me 6-4.5, taking thebes from me. he pressed dc, but i managed enough archers to slow him up until my HA took his out. i went back at thebes and we went thru a LONG chess match of killing archers and warriors while our HA's danced. my elite upgrade was worthless (march or blitz would have helped here). i was working only with a 2 pop dc while he had ast least 3 cities to work with. when he got to 5 techs and used his gs on republic i knew it was hopeless.
2nd game much more boring. my gh almost got nabbed by his warrior. i got gold but never mustered a HA. a galley barb showed me the school, but his galley was closer. i lost the 1 v 1 galley fight and he took the artifact. he took tripoli, but got no religion (better than bad religion). his HA kept me from settling my 100 g settler. i got a barracks and iw but it was taking too long to mount any kind of attack. i quit out of frustration (i was doomed anyways) and finally did something productive with my day. gg's.
after 2 days of trying to connect with cwis he tells me he forfeits and is trying to find a replacement for the rest of his games. he's not trying too hard, as he hasn't taken the time to post here. this guy has wasted a ton of my time this week, capped by setting a 6 pm pst game time and then no showing. i got to see the wife's eye-roll when i asked to hold off on dinner to play a tourney game, then not even a message before of after to explain what happened. thanks for that.

If somebody gets his record they will get it at 3-5 since no games of his were played past wee four, Im pretty pissed about it as well. He had mentioned asking point to take it. This would make div 1 even more competitive and I dont think he'd be too pissed about 3-5 with 24 games left to play.
But yea I do appreciate the integrity of frustrated people for sticking around and showing their civ love.(not everybody is doing well) Thats why at the beginning of the season I decided to make the second Captains Choice week the week that Last place in each division gets to choose the civ teir. I want this to be fun for everybody!!

It's a bit frustrating as I played all the best people in my league first and although no game is a banker it doesn't seem fair that the best in my league got to play him and I haven't had the chance. For instance if Point was to take over I'm going to have a tougher time than I would against CWis (No offence).
It's not life or death though and I'll go with whatever the majority thinks is best. Will need to know asap though as only three days left in this game week.
I will probably be on earlier in the day today but not sure exactly when. I will be on for sure at 6:30pm EST after I pick up my wife from work. so just jump on either of those times
Theres two real optins here.....I realize thats slightly unfair to you....but lets be honest we cant ask somebody to take over his record after applying 2 weeks of forfeits because nobody will take over a 3-9 record.....plus I think everyone should earn their wins.....if cwis just sipped a week he would get a forfeit and continue but I dont think its fair to force whoever takes his place to take 4 of his forfeits.
option two is to just remove him from the season since its still early....we could either give him forfeits across the board or just totally erase him from everyones record...and by forfeits across the board I mean all of his games including what hes played....thats the fairest way to do it.....so lets have a vote fellas
option one....try to replace him with point or someone else.
option two....remove him entirely.
option three....all 32 of his games will be forfeited and counted as wins to his opponents
Option 3 makes the most since sense it doesn't change anyones record for the worse or better.

Okk here is the deal fellas. No civ league has gone on this long and I appreciate the effort of all participants in that respect. Im sure everyone is aware of the its cwis situation. Multis friend MaNi4c xD has volunteered to take his place at 3-5. He is a good replacement for cwis as they are on pretty similar skill levels and he plays civ on a daily basis like most of us. Please everyone send him a friend request and lets get this thing back on track.
Having said that we are in the 5th week of the league and once packrat and ade finish their matches tomorrow every match will be complete except fr the ones that maniac has to make up for cwis so we are still right on track. Anyways, liam and dan if you can get up with maniac this weekend we will be all on track.

I got my games in with ade 2-0 ME
1st game was just unfair.
I got 7CoG, KT, and SoC by 2500 he got walk in on rome for republic but i flipped his rome cap, I then captured his cap for republic with the kt and he quit.
2nd game was his advantage big time. I believe he got 7CoG cause he got his 100g very quickly, I 3 tech from my 3 barbs, bw, alpha, and pottery. I used my gp on writing to get spy and sold it and 4 teched my last tech to reach 5 and started expanding to islands. found aw for gp switched to republic while he was still only at 3 tech and was taking over ai caps. he took german and russia cap but I expanded like crazy and got knights for 11th tech and started crushing him. i took most of his cities when he quit. America is sick if you know how to use them
I just beat Maniac 2-0 in out games. First game I get a ga who doesn't find anything or name a tile but CoR Egypt is close so I tech HBR and head for it. Maniac walks in on it but I got 100g so send settler and another horse towards him. He starts putting up archers but my gg's win and he quits not long after.
Second game I get a GS for hbr and he walks in on india but I attack with single horse from hill to win 3 vs 1.5. I tech bronze and he comes at me with a non vet wa which killed one archer but lost to the second and he quit.

lol I had 16 cities when I switched from doing all gold to science and you let me get irrigation first and literacy. i was doing 130 gold a turn and 16 science after you took that two tile island with your 2 vet horse armies. what did you think of the way i made sure you couldn't get your armies off the island? I completely surrounded the island with galleys so you didn't have water squares to rush a boat off to get the armies back onto my main island. you controlled the mainland with your horses and forced me to

got my 2 in with maniac, i win 2-0. in the 1st our settlers meet, and he has to retreat for 4-5 turns to settle london. the area between us is big, and empty of ai. i clean un the gold and send a fundy vet WA to him. i beat his 1st archer, 9-7.5, but a single wound allows him to AA up. i move on, and follow shortly after with a non vet WA. a HA brings up the rear. i find the mongols just past him and take their 2 cities. i attack the greeks with the HA but the have a PA. i load my 2 WA's on a galley and head south. i find the ark, and the next turn he settles an island right next to it. i get the walk-in and he quits. on the tripoli front i was a fewe turns awasy from sending a settler, building a road, and bringing 2 cat armies to london. i think that would do the job if he didn't add to his original AA.
2nd game he makes a crucial error, getting 100 g before settling (no settler). he walks in on athens a couple turns later. it is looking good for him, until i get 7 cities and the gw a couple turns later. he gives peace and then realizes he has an uphill fight. he quits out, a little too early imo, but he was probably right that he would lose. i used the gold to plant 3 dye cities, then quickly got to feud. his ai ended up finding the ark and getting a gb for colossus. he had america and russia close to him which he might have taken.

Week 5 Arab v England grudge match
Ok Id say this DIDN't go as expected. We definitely thought that the Arabs would win but them being a semi-power civ I think we might have expected it to be slightly more in favor of Arabs. Last GM it was Japan v Greece and Greece won handedly with 8-4 them being in the same tier. This week it was the same thing even though Arabs are in the next tier. 4 warriors swept their oppenets to shade the results but it was still the obvious outcome. Well done fellas, as assumed Arabs win 8-4.
Awards:
GOTW: Game of the Week goes to REM0 and ITZ for their big play. Both had blazing starts as Itz took Rome for CoL and REM took SoC at 3500. Solid play by ITZ forced REM0 to get slick with his offense and crash the party.
Week 6
Well it was time for the USA mirror match; some players couldn't wait for this as others dreaded the matches. As they are all finished week 7 matches can commence. A quick side note there was a slight alteration to Div 1's schedule so please check that before you play this week. Div 2 is still the same though so no worries guys.
Big things happened this week in both Division:
Division 1: Continuous solid play by Blades has the warrior at 1st place still with a 9-3 show(the same as REM in 2nd at Div 2 if you notice). This Div is very close though. Duke is right there as well with a 8-4 plot and after two huge weeks by liam(hes on a 4 game steak) there is now a tie for 3rd place as he and MPB are only 2 games out of first place.
Divison 2: Can anyone stop him?? Can they? Packrats play continues to be huge as he dominates division 2. He is our first warrior to make it into double digits and has also tied Blades for the longest streak of the season at 6 Wins in a row. The only difference being that Packrats streak is current so he could break the 6W record in week 7. Also, not only does Packrat lead his own division but he is in first place across both Divisions by 2 games. Well done Packrat!! As for the rest of the division REM0 has also been playing strong. He is the only player to have recorded a win against the Supreme Tyrant Packrat and holds down 2nd place by a solid 3 games. Also prey went huge this week recording a sweep against mawpawk in the USA mirror. This puts him in 3rd place and contention for that last playoff spot of his division.
Awards:

Play of the Week: This goes to preyforme for his huge sweep against mawpawk and sliding into that 3rd place spot. A close runner up was liam for making a similar move.
Remember guys the top 3 from each division get into the playoffs. Also we are officially past the 1/3 mark of the entire season. With 20 games left to be played anything can still happen. Good luck and let week 7 commence.
Captains Choice
Divsion 1: Ade choose the middle tier claiming "England isnt man enough to be in the middle tier!" (Rome, India, Germ)
Division 2: Dan chooses the bottom tier.(Mongols, Russia, France)
Im not sure if anyone noticed other than myself but there are 7 current win streaks and only 5 current loss streaks at the moment. If anyone finds that odd its because Dan vs maniac from week 5 was played after dan vs remo of week 6. Therefore dans current win streak was from week 5(his most recent played week)
