THE BEST PLAYERS of All Time PS3

i have played a lot and seen players come and go, theres a lot of talk of talk about who the best players are. Each Civ offers different strats, therefore you have to categorize the best players by their civs. Each of these players could beat each other at any time

    Japan- Liam sutty
    Spain- Spainful
    germans-Friendlypostman
    aztecs_el commandatee
    Zulu_pfdannig
    USA-nestarin
    england-apolothegod
    greece_salmeen
    egypt-oghjoemprie

these players are the established best players of civ at all time and most have held the number 1 spot at some point all with their respective civs. Im making a run with zee germans

what ever happened to nestrian and elanza i never seen them on, do they have new names?

I think Elanza aztec are better then el commandatee.

Nestarin isn't a that great a player, he is a cheater that's all. He's first because he played us only. I've played a couple of Us vs US match-up and I killed him every game. He froze me before knowing who I was. He has other PSNiD and don't play nestarin anymore to stay first...

Apollo was good with a lots of civ. He was one of the best with any civ for a long time a while ago. He put different one in the top10 a couple of time.

Liam is really good if he can keep control of himself and don,t get too many pint before the end of the match . Salmeen was really good with arab too.

I don't remeber Spainful nor the egyptian player that you put there.

    pfdannig...

LMAO at "pfdnanig being best zulu player of all time". That clown doesn't deserve to be in top 5. If he starts losing he cheats. He did it to me so i'm sure he's done it since. You can't trust that record of his.

Pretty sure the best PS3 players don't hold a candle to the best xbox players, just saying...

Ummm...when/where did i say they did? I'm sure you're probably right. Xbox probably has most of the best players. So what? The thread is entitled best PS3 players. Not Xbox. I assume you think you're one of best Xbox players?

most of the good players can beat each others, largely depending on the map knowledge, luck factor and etc.
there is no sure win or the best player that can't be beaten.

I'm better than most but I also know that luck is the biggest factor against equally skilled opponents...

Awwww - I feel very privileged to be included on this list but you could of put SVPM's name next to anyone of those civs in my opinion. I'd also get snipers Romans in there. He used roads/legions very effectively back in the day.

I would put civ choice before luck against equally skilled opponents.

My order of importance between those three.

    1)Skill
    2)Civ
    3)Luck

The more equal those factorare the more decisive the others are taking. In tournament luck takes more place because skill are more closed than in rank and the top civ are excluded.

Thanks . I don,t think I have played nearly enough in the past year/year and a half to stay on level.

I just thought that maybe cbloyola could deserve a spot there. I played mostly his american in rank, but i know that he was good when I played him in the chat.

Exactly, if skill is equal then civ and luck are the biggest factors. Personally I would put luck before civ though because even the mongols can beat America if they get a godly start so that is why I think luck is the biggest factor IMO.

But a skilled mongol player could still turn it roundafter a terrible start.

But when is skill ever exactly the same. We all have similar but different skill sets and we all excel at some area better than another. Not to mention the varying skill levels of forum players. This is why I think skill is most important.....but we can discuss this further in dukes thread if need be.....

maddjinn/salmeen.. honourable mention to liam in some categories, Civaddict... And um I'd add in another - sniperkill. and I'd add in SVPM cept i almost never got to play him.. er.. ok what the hell SVPM...

Not sure which civs to give each of them except liam who is a bit of a specialist and sniper whos romans were pretty sharp.. the first two would own anyone with any civ when they were both playing.

LUFC Bigal and Apocolyptic Jaguar with Greece need a mention from the early days although the latter one was me in another guise! Went 28 unbeaten with greece but it was early days!! ;-) (I think that's where my love for teching originated from!!)

hmm ok Ill eliminate him then..

So my new official total list

maddjin (esp mongols but all civs)
salmeen (esp arabs but all civs)

    and a gap...

    SPVM (all)
    rawjos (?)
    Civaddict (spain/china)
    Liam Sutty (teching civs only)
    sniperkill (rome)

civ addict seemed to use some quite smart battle tactics at times even if his macro strategy wasnt as strong as the xbox types. mad and salmeen just played more or less xbox top level play. Liam just surprises you with tech and sniper had top level defense with romans - it can be like attacking that pesky elthrasher on the xbox.

Im inclined to see civ strategy as having advanced over time so for example thrasher now is stronger than the guys who used to dominate ages ago. So the emphasis is on people in the reasonably recent era - except the very recent because of how ps3 comunity has died down.

I have played Spainful, Friendlypostman and i think el commandatee and again with due respect they dont stick out in my mind... Im sure they are good but Im looking for some sort of "OMG how did they do that..."

Yeah Rawjos was a very good player. I think he is better known as Think before you speak on the PS3 though. A squirrel comes to mind with the name. I think maybe it was his avator? ;-)

Except Salmeen failed to own me ain the PS3 final of 2010!! ;-) Top bloke though and always a challenge to play. Focused heavily on units early and would apply pressure all game long.

you definetely have forgotten exconcal. Way better than Elanza and el commandatee (put together) and hands down the best Aztec player of all times. I believe he invented the horsemen strategy early rush back in the day. cant find him anymore though.
