    Question Revolution

    Hi.
    It's very interesting for me.
Is there a way to create a new country during the game.
For instance, to split a country into several pieces. Provoke a revolution, which could split it, etc. Is there a way? (or maybe this functionality was created in some mod. which one?).
    Thanks a lot

Maybe there is a way to create a "normal" country (not marionette) when you occupy a city. Thanks again

    No.
You can liberate defeated city states and opponents, bringing them back into the game.

    It's a pity .
Is there any plans to add such feature to next (6) civilization?

Ask again if, and presumably when, they announce a Civ 6

I can't see them adding this feature as the game is about long-term civilizations rather than individual splits in countries.

I imagine that it would create further problems with leaders also as they would have to create new leaders for each civilization that split.

I doubt it'll ever happen even in the next civ but it would bring a cool dynamic to the game. Say an empire suffers too much unhappiness and a couple cities claim independence or a barbarian encampment lasts long enough on a map too long and it becomes a true civ with the techs of the last place civ. It'd be fun but I'm not sure you could even mod it in since its so far outside the game's rules.

If you get your unhappiness to -20 your empire will revolt, but that only leads to barb units spawning next to cities.

They did this in a previous Civ... Colonies, say unconnected cities (by border) in a continents game. You could make a certain group of cities a colony. This colony would turn into a Civ not being played in the game and then essentially be a vassal. IIRC you got resource and gold benefits and an alliance.

I also think that a civilization with multiple cities with a ton of unhappiness in each would eventually have a revolt and a new civ (again one no being played in the game) would take over these, say 3, cities as a new civ on the map.

I never did play Colonization. That sounds like a cool concept. So maybe something like that could happen again then.

Nah this kind of stuff was in Civ4 + expansions, not even in Colonization. I never played that either.
