Trouble With Keys To Use Hacking

Hi

Im new to the game bioshock2 and this forum, and i´m stuck on level 2 where i hack the system to gain entrance. I´ve tried the keys set, change them and got no where. I mainly have the firering of the hacks issue. Collecting the item needed to do so and aiming i´ve got down but the shooting ??? STUUUCK lol. I need help. What do i do? advice thanx.

I think that I know where you are in the game?
Are you here:- (you go up metal steps to a long dark passage with blue metal pipes, at the end of the passage is an airlock door)
There is a small room here with a switch, you have to hack the switch not the door.

Im at level 2 where i pick up the hacking tool and darts for the first time. i have trouble finding the right key to punch. ive tried all combinations.
