Should i play offline before i play online?(civ IV offline vet)

i played civ IV for three or so years offline and wonder if i should do an offline game on civ V before i play online?i've never played civ V. I'm going to be installing it in as soon as...an hour maybe. As late as a couple of hours.

Civ 5 is so different from Civ 4, you will get your ass whupped PDQ.

Play SP (single player ) first, to at least learn the game. Really; it's a different game.

Simple answer play Civ 4 online and wait for 5 to work fully online first
