Great Wall

As i understand it our current gentlemens rule is that if you make war under great wall you must wait till next turn to make peace and allow a turns worth of counter.

So player one makes war at the beginning of a turn then player 2 has a fair chance to counter during the turn. then next turn they have will be able to get another attack in (you cant diplo faster than they can attack).

But if you attack at the very end of the turn you get to diplo at the end of the next turn. so you should always break the great wall peace at the end of the turn right?

i was just thinking if you make war at the beginning of the turn should you not just be able to make peace right at the end of the same turn - after the other guy has had time to counter? (if that was possible) otherwise is encourages unecessary 60 second waits and diplo spams and other such dumb things.

I agree, as long as someone doesn't immediatly ask for peace, it shouldn't break the gentlemans agreement.

I have never found this to be a problem and in the last week 3 different players have done it to me when I got the wall.
Charlotte something, ibravesirrobin and sirboomalot.
I was so pissed I paused when they attacked me and sent a message saying if they cheat then so will I. All 3 just sent back abuse calling me the cheater.
I always play by the rules even when they abuse democracy. Maybe I need to change my views and realize that some people do not think it is cheating.

Funny you post concerning this because I got from two players you be freezing in h2h when no one cheated you but was just beating you.

I suppose I have left myself open to that. I did lock the game up on them, but its not like they will send out a message saying 'know what? I cheated flash bang and he cheated me right back'

I am more than willing to take my losses. In fact I enjoy them because it means I can learn something.

I think some people have assumed you cheat because 3 things...you use aztecs...you have an awesome w-l ratio...and your GT is "flash" so some people are assuming you might be flashgordon/brent.

Just for the record I will vouch for Flash bang 100% Ive played him many times in ranked and he has never frozen me once....Ive beaten him, and he still never froze me. He also had no idea I was a forum member which is evident from his comments in the top 25 thread.

He has the skill level of a 2 Id say because he has beaten me on 2 occaisions that I can recall.

So maybe he did freeze a few people that cheated him, but your profile says you will do the exact same thing multi so I ask you, does you calling him out based on heeresay of other players make it true? or does it mean you are spitting out a rumor told by other players...or are you contradicting yourself for calling him out for something you also do....

Basically I dont beleive it...why would he cheat random players when he played me fair...I was ranked top 3 every time we played and he was trying to rank up so that would be major points for him

....also if you are defending this because of "who" I think....keep in mind that when "that" person joined our party the other night and was complaining about being froze we found out that he was GW glitching his opponent....admitted by his own words......

Calling people out for cheating on the forums is against the rules.....when its true and verified we overlook it for sure but you should never make a BS post about somebody epsecailly if you have never played them yourself.

I never intentionally freeze anyone unless they tried to freeze me. I have fell to sleep at the controller before, ACCIDENTALLY pressed RB and was attacked while in the city screen which can cause a hard freeze after 1000 ad. If I ever come across Flash in h2h (which I will rarely ever be doing) then I can see his game play. Apologies to you Flash Bang Over.
