    I'm fine with that

If dan doesn't say anything would Jack be willing to think of a # between 1-100 and tell Scottie so we know who is host?

Multi got host. I was Germans, Mulit was Romans, and Duke was English.

Well I totally just out thought and out played both of these guys 7 cities at 3200 Egyptian cap at 3000. Soon to have English cap with monarchy. Multi was going to try which I wanted him to but he accidentally gave the Greeks all his gold so he called it lol. So guess it is me and prey best out of 3?

What civs did you use to play Scottie because those are banned in the finals. Pleas post them I have some yard work to do and if Prey is still on afterwards we will probably play so it would be fair for us to know what civs you were using...

We went to a tie breaker, came down to who got a friendly he did and I didn't so game over. Both games he won were in like 5-10 turns unreal man. This game is 90-80% luck. Ohh well...

LOL if pretty much all games are decided within ten turns then yes it is 90% luck dude. You are crazy lol. The part that isn't luck is when you lose after getting 7cog at 3300 that is the 10-20% skill part. That goes for the games I have won as well, that is 90% luck as well. If your ego won't let you admit that this game is mostly luck it is not my problem...

Agreed I messed up on that one. I didn't think you were that close and settling next to 2 hills and no trees right next to the Zulu didn't seem like a good idea but apparently it was. I need to wait out the timers in these tourneys. Most of my mistakes come from moving to soon and not waiting for my opponent. I need to work on that lol. At least the second game was fun

Thanks Jack:-) yea ultimate glory now.

Question. I used 3 civs in the semifinal and Maw jused 2. Does this mean I can't use any of those 3 civs? Is that fair in a final? It prob doesn't matter cause my 3. civ was Egypt and I doubt I will use them in a final, but u never now.

Looks like you have all civs available

hmmn.. sorry. You best wait for dan to confirm, that may only relate to the FFA tiebreaker? and not your game with ITZ.

EDIT: This from first post, seems clear enough from dan.

Irritation! I'd probably still had no chance in that game but either way I wanted to play it out myself. But too fast of button mashing to stop talking to AI for peace ruined me and wasn't about to fight that out after that mess.

Even it this game was truly based on luck... don't bother me and I still fight through without complaining about it.

The truth is the game has a lot of varience. However, there is a TON of skill too. If there wasn't, they there would be no way I could put Russia in the top ten winning 90%+ of my games.

However, when you close the skill gap (forum members), luck plays a much larger part. If any of us get an unbalanced good or bad start, the outcome is likely set in stone.

The solution? You guys stop learning how to play and just let me win

    The final is done deal.

My arabs beat Maw's Arab. Started close with egypt between us. Itook them out with a vet WA and went straigt towards Maw. he could not defend and 1-0

Game 2: My Spanish VS Maw's Germany. Ok start got my gold and had whale and startet expanding. found SCG and had a ton of cities. Got the wall in madrid and build 3 barracks aa in case he came hard with legons. plan was to build defends from here to the moon so even his Knights would not help. He gave up when I was up 12-3 in tech?

Game 3. His India smashed my India. Bad start for me her with no real place to settle and no gold. he was in "space age" while I was still in the stonage.

Game 4. My english beat his Spanish. Good start and found dye. Got a HA together and took out 4 pop Thebes which was next to London. Expended to som dye and workshop cities. Let him take one of my cities with a HA, but flipped it back same turn. Maw gave up prob 8 turns befor I coyld have a cruiser fleet. Had 250 gold too, so tough for him.

GG Maw and always fun to play against u.

3-1 for me and I'm actually quite happy to win this with so many good players in the tournament.

Congrats Prey! Quite an accomplishment in a really good field. You pretty much dominated from start to finish.

Also, is it juts me or does Mawpawk always seem to be second best?

Yes it was a good field this time.
Feel bad for ItsDen3id. Should have the first game against me in the semifinal, but than again it would probably not be the same map in the second and I may have had that, We will never now.

To be fair though 90% of the people in ranked are garbage lol. Once you get the basic fundamentals of the game down it basically comes down to luck really unless someone screws up somehow? But it is still fun though just like poker

No man you deserved it well done. You have to admit those longer games are definitely more exciting though Sucks going out with two walk ins but what can you do thats civ I think you might have moved instead of attacking barb since you saw that I named that river but like you said we will never know...

Great job Prey... how do we honor Prey winning this tourney as it had much talent in it? People need to know when someone defeats a group of great players and wins a tourney!
