I was hoping for a longer game, or perhaps one with multiple paths by which to complete various of the chapters, so that there would be greater replayability to the game. And no, "new Game+" doesn't meet that standard, because it really doesn't change the (extremely linear) path of the game, and the story.

What I mean is .... I wish that instead of having just one path forward, just one way to get to the various confrontations / "boss fights", I'd've liked to see a few places where you have two, or even three, choices of which way to go - choices that each lead to their own divergent paths, not merely "which of these two doors from Room #17 to Corridor E, do you wish to walk through".

Even better, when back at the Mansion, why have only ONE possible mission to go on? Why not have a choice of missions to do? Even if we end up doing most of all of the possible missions anyway, being able to say "I'm gonna to to <missions A> first, instead of <mission B> like I did last time" ... and have some dialog and even opposition/path differences. That, IMO, would have been a serious improvement to the game.

'cause right now, I'm feeling like I paid fifty dollars, for what's really only a thirty or thirty-five dollar game: dissatisfied, rather than disgruntled.

I know FPS games have traditionally been very linear .... but there's no reason not to break with that tradition.
