I dont care who gets it i just want to get my games in. Itz appeared to ask first but maybe both can and the other sub for srr if hes not going to play. Has anyone herd from him. He seems to be online just not playing civ or visiting forum
Even though dan only has a few games in i know hes trying to get them in. We keep catching each other at bad times but i would like to get my last 3 games in this week if possible. Dan maybe we should schedule our game instead of it be being by chance. I know we are 3 hrs apart but i am available most evenings after 5pm weekdays til at least 10pm and occasionally earlier
To be fair though ITZ played in group four and for one reason or another I've been waiting to play since group one.

I've been in bed with flu all week and I play every single day. I haven't checked the forum since I was ill which was more than a week which is also why I missed the 8 team bracket!! ITZ has said he'll do group 6 so we have a conclusion no?
I think more friend requests should be sent, more messages sent regardless if person is online or not of interest to battle and people in general making themselves available for someone who can't be on all day. If the person who someone is trying to contact or battle do not respond to at least 2 days of messaging then obviously they don't give much care for the tournament. Slaughterz profile always says he is offline even though he really is online; meaning that you will have to send a message to him to set time for him and you to battle. Da Xcutionerz is on I see around the times of 8pm to 12am eastern time at various times throughout the week.
I would like to have them both post concerning their availabilities but unfortunately it seems both are constantly busy and not big forum posters.

stuck in a brutal dogfight with digital right now. he started by saying he only had an hour. we were so focused he ran 30 minutes past that before realizing. we are currently paused until he gets back.
my egypt w/oracle vs his germans. i settle with 4 deserts. its a wide area and i send out warriors and archers in all directions before feeling safe to expand. he take mongols very early, and spain 10 or so turns later. i grab 7 cities and rush a librarie, then tech thru for the free trading post. i am cranking but he's stationed 2 warrior armies on a hill near thebes so i cant relax. i send the kt and a LA down to washington and catch them on a walk-out. i steal the settler to have my choice of spots. he chooses then to go to legions. i am working on a CA to clear his nearby armies. his multiple march armies shred the remainder of my prep time. i have the free market in thebes so i can add units every turn. he takes 2 cities. i take 1 back with a CA and AA, but i took the path of least resistance to it and of course it left me trapped by 2 more LA's he comes after thebes with KA's but by now i have a slew of single pikes backing up thebes. i get loyalty and a gg on an AA, but i cant heal it and its chosen to defend, even though the pike was stronger at 9-8. i get another gg for a CA, and another CA north gets blitz attacking my other city. i am pretty sure i have wiped all his elite unites, but he still has knights. we are sitting at around 16-14 techs right now. part 2 to follow.
I think Liam should get it since he really hasn't had an opportunity in other brackets if everyone really wants me to do this one I will but I think Liam should get it IMO. Also, I would just like to start in a fresh bracket and since he wants in 5 I don't see a problem as long as he gets his games in?
this game was unreal. too bad it started with a time limit. I took madrid but didnt get navigation which would have all but sealed this game with all the whale arround me. the amount of even battles he won was unreal. I know he had the oracle there were so few battles he didn't get the opportunity to atk. I had to leave for 2 hours to pick up my wife from work \and pick up my dog from the vet who pissed us off stating they were gonna do the surgery on the dog today and now we have to take him back now on wednesday. I tried to restart the game with dan but my wife started cooking dinner and taking care of the dog coming off of anesthesia and the smoke alarm went off and it just wasn't meant to be to continue this game. most of my elite knights were wiped out not all but I had religion and was 2 turns from navigation and had 7 cities I believe once he got back to my area with those cats I would have been defended up enough to take his offense out. he would have retaken his 2 cities but with everything going on at the house dan offered a stalemate/rematch and I took it. GG cant wait for the rematch.

we were just about to shift gears there. it could have gone very long. after taking back my 1 city i was planning on putting the pikes and 2 elite CA's (with gg)on a galleon or 3 to go harass you. i had a gs in the bank, and a few settlers i had produced but was afraid to settle with all that was going on. i hadn't been off the mainland. i had no idea what kind of islands were around.
got in a game with IIsrrII, my rome vs his japan. i just don't know how to use rome effectively, and he obviously knows how to use japan. i had a great start, taking moscow early, and then 3 mongol cities a little later. i popped the ark with about 7-8 cities total. i then sent half my force, a HA and archers, on a galley to his area (we had a super long land bridge connecting us that was not really used). i took 5 turns to go thru masonry and irrigation. at this point i lost direction. while i was floundering he bee-lined to knights and landed a KA. once i knew he was going this route i should have been working gold to make roads and LA's. instead i half prepared/half teched, and had no answer for his knights. stupidly i had a gb i didn't use. the gw, hello!!! it would have bought me a few turns while he teched to engineering. i'm guessing he used at least 1 library to get to knights so quickly. if so it was a perfect use of a library in an early drill down strategy.

Sorry been working guys, I see that lewk posted my win with Japan over his rome but I also would like to add that I also beat slaughterz Greece with my France. I do believe that would make me 3-2 and makes me wish I had played packrat a little later with better civs but oh well.
Good play....lets try to get those last few games in.....all you have to do is make it to the finals and then your civ choices are reset so you can use your best civs in the finals if you make it....
I still have all my middle civs to play the rest of the way. To be 3-2 with the bottom 5 out of the way is nice.

after that epic 2nd game we couldn't finish we got the rematch in. It was short. I walked 4 turns to settle next to the first barb hut i found. I could see the boarders of both the arabs and the egyptians. thankfully when I settled my boarders didn't give me away. I got 30g from barb and tried for a walk in on arabs but they got their warrior back to cap at 3100. created an army and took down cap for religion and got an elite wa with march. once i took over arabs the russians greeted me and i threatened them for 25g. created a 2nd warrior army and took it towards egypt. I took out his injured horse and i showed up with 2 vet fundy warrior armies at his cap at 2700. game over. GG
Hey get your games in Liam please the whole point of a replacement was to get this tourney back on track......everybody disagreed with me but thats why I said itz should be in.....he would be close to finished by now.....come on now Liam...kick some @$$

Now I know Multi will get his games in and will probably kick the other members in gear to get their games in. I tried getting a game in with Liam but he was playing multiple player matches with scottie.

I got my last 2 games in with liam. we split games. I asked him to write up the summary of the games but it looks like he didn't. I will do a quick post

He got AW for GW and expanded. I took china and arabs but could not attack him. we teched very quickly both hitting modern by 500ad but he took a number of my cities and beat me to industrialization and won a 31.5 to 27 cruiser fleet and i conceded.

We met with settlers at turn 3 with me having 10g and he had 0. I settled when we met forcing him to move away. I got 4 desert and 1 tree. barb villages very sparse. i teched HBR and rushed a horse. It took quite alot of time to make my way away from our crappy section of the map to find barbs and eventually got my 100g and it showed me 7CoG. I settled 100g city with 3 dessert and a fish. rushed libraries in both cities and got bonus from code of laws. had enough gold to rush another trading post in 2nd city now making 60 beakers a turn with just 2 cities. he rushes navigation with gs for 5th tech. finds my galley but looses a 1 - 3. I rush a barracks. have mathematics and navigation and was going to come at him but he concedes.

Today Coolhand and I played our 2. First game my Russians vs. his Mongols I won. I got HB riding from a friendly and find knights Temp and Angor Watt at 2900 B.C. Dan was not able to defend. 2nd game My Japs vs. Dans Indians I won. I got the Seven Cities early built EIC and city spanned and out teched him 17-5. Dan comes from nowhere with 4 or 5 cat armies and managed to take three of my cities but it was too late in the game I came back with knights, cruisers, and rifleman to re-take my cities and Dan forfeited after that.
I got a game in this morning with CooolHandle. My egypt beat his greeks. I warrior attacked kyoto and he gets english for monarchy. He finds SOC not much later but I get Angkor Wat so simply expand and got a nice TP in a 4 desert third city spot that had library. Make some cats and take washington and just carry on expanding. I get a GB not long after and rush EIC. Cool quits after this having a GB himself but not wanteing to waste stored production whilst making a galleon chose not to use it instantly. This put me on about 280 tech per turn so it wouldn't of been long till tanks.

My wins against slaughterz and lewk were nothing to brag about. I just had a better map location and got alot more gold than them. I rushed legions in both games and never got the opportunity to use them as they gave up before it really even got started. I also played my last game against lewk today and same result. He was germany and I was England and our settlers met around 3600 bc and I settled with gold and he had to turn and run. He lost a 4.5 to 2.5 to spain and I had a warrior army with march and he just gave up. I beleive I have games against liam sutty and Itz denied left.

this was a bad game. with him having the wall there was nothing i could do. no dye to use so that didn't help. i got a gb for sam castle, plus a ga which i used to flip a gypo island city with a library. nothing would slow down his teching. i think he used a gs on gunpowder at like 500 bc or so. i was taking washington with a cannon when he came in and nabbed it with cats. if i had taken eitc when i could i would have been around 200 tech, but you snooze you lose. i got the ark too with 5 cities.
