possible I guess but would surprise me given the huge resources R* has, if it is true it might mean the tech from L A noire might be used which is a plus, the downside is any cross over probably mean the next Mafia will be a sandbox game

I don't mind mafia being a sandbox game as long as there's the same focus on story telling. But I don't want it to become the next gta.
They should really go back to the roots of the game in that sense and remove ☺☺☺☺ like autohealing.

wouldn't really make sense to try and make it the next GTA since Take 2 basically own both franchises, so hopefully they'll stick to the linear movie like style, but after what they tried to do with Mafia 2 am not sure that's what will happen IF it's true.

can't see them dropping autohealing, it's almost standard now.

on the plus side it probably secures the studios future & jobs.
