Lightbulb Questions.... some dumb, some of irritation... whatever

Questions.... will bump every week until I get answers I'm satisfied with or the thread gets deleted!

Do 2K pay any attention to concerns in forums (mainly Civ Rev)? Do they REALIZE people talk of issues and have complaints? Is it recognizable to the makers of Civ Rev that people in the hundreds of thousands played this game and would still play but stopped playing due to flaws I would think easily controllable? Do they care about making money for the next games they have with muliplayer and it involves real strategy? What is the point of the moderators, to just watch if people disobey rules or to do some real work and report in game problems? Is there ever going to be a dang Civ Rev 2? Why will there never be another patch? Why did the last patch not work!??? Does Sid Meier have anything really to do with the development of Civ Rev? Should I give up hope that anything will come out for the xbox or ps3 and be as exciting as the fundamental gameplay of Civ Rev? I have many more questions with similar wording but I'm not sure I should post let alone the ones I just did because someone with some power will selfishly get upset and delete my using these forums... forever.

Do 2K pay any attention to concerns in forums (mainly Civ Rev)?
Yes. Though only to matters that they can realistically deal with.

Do they REALIZE people talk of issues and have complaints?
    Yes

Is it recognizable to the makers of Civ Rev that people in the hundreds of thousands played this game and would still play but stopped playing due to flaws I would think easily controllable?
I don't think that's recognizable to anyone. Hundreds of thousands, no way.

Do they care about making money for the next games they have with muliplayer and it involves real strategy?
Don't really understand the question but yes, I imagine they care about turning a profit.

What is the point of the moderators, to just watch if people disobey rules or to do some real work and report in game problems?
The point of the moderators is to moderate the forum and provide information, they have nothing to do with the actual games.

Is there ever going to be a dang Civ Rev 2?
In the entire future of the human race? Almost certainly. Soon? No.

Why will there never be another patch?
Because they moved on to other projects, which are far more popular than Civ Rev.

Why did the last patch not work!???
It solved the things it was supposed to solve. Patches can't predict the future.

Does Sid Meier have anything really to do with the development of Civ Rev?
I'd imagine slightly more than Tom Clancy has with those games, but not much.

Should I give up hope that anything will come out for the xbox or ps3 and be as exciting as the fundamental gameplay of Civ Rev?
They're not your therapists. Decide for yourself.

Hydro has covered it pretty well.

I'm astonished you think there are hundreds of thousands playing this though, whatever gives you that idea?

I personally think we would be scraping even a couple of thousand across both platforms now.

depends on what you mean. over a million copies sold right? so a lot of people tried it (even if that includes duplicates - And my xbox and PS3 CDs are 2nd hand so sometimes a sale counts twice...) - most probably never got to playing multiplayer most of those only a few times. but still a lot of people bought it eh?

Not saying there are hundreds of thousands of regular users of course... But multi wasnt implying that either he was refering to those who hadn't become regulars but could have.

Exactly that is what I meant... I see 5 to 7 new gamertags everyday playing civ. That is over the course of now 3 years me playing. People come and go but in the end many people have played this game.

You did actually pretty much cover it but it seems that you imply that in the end there is no hope for civ rev...

We just get on with it these days though don't we? I mean yes it's frustrating but it is the same for everyone which is why player matches are where it's at. If you freeze up you restart, simples. We stick to our own rules and regulations. Sometimes someone will lose a decent start but it's swings and roundabouts. There are plenty of preventative measures that can be taken.

    I counted. There's 13 people playing on the PS3.

So that makes 487 on the Xbox.

deep down willy wonka was always creepy... I mean 'woops I just blew up a kid with juice (by 'accident - cept I kinda laid a trap) and am now kidnapping them so i can get a bunch of dwarven slaves to squeeze some "juice" out of them.'

Johnny depp's version was just a bit more honest about being creepy.

true that, it would be hard to reimagine a modern version without some scandal or another. "you can't take my oompas, i need their tiny hands to polish my shell casings". "is that what their calling it these days? get this creep out of here."
