Xbox will be more random teams, only a few people really party up and it's usually 2, and if there is a rare lobby of 4 or 5 they are usually fairly terrible, we only ever have one party of 5 and that only happens when we have this weird pedophile old guy brings in his party of like 4 little girls that are usually quite bad
I used to play with 1 other person constantly, but that was when everyo night you played another party of at least 2-3. Nowadays though team games are doninatec by individual talent. At least when I play I rarely get beat by a party, but there also aren't very many left.
The Xbox suddenly sounds like heaven...
Like I said, heaven!
I guess the way around it is to play SotF. But I just don't care for trying to take on 9 people at once. My skill level isn't high enough to be regularly competitive in that setting. But at least in SotF, the other 9 aren't all helping each other.
I will admit you can catch in a team of 3-4 RARELY and it only lasts for a few games. Usually I run solo, or have my friends late-join into the lobby so we get random teams. In the past 6 months I haven't seen any team of 5, ever. Sometimes I'll see the same group of people teamed in Capture, or Civil, but that's easily avoidable by just going to Survival. 8) of course you might run into people teaming together in a Survival/Solo Adam Grab lobby.
Really? It's not that hard? [Use crossbow to take out 1 enemy, swap to MG and use 10 bullets to kill someone else, 2 enemies come to clean me up, I grab a red barrel and get a double kill. Use the rest of my EVE to Houdini and find another enemy, use the last of my MG bullets and kill him. Reload and repeat] By the time the Big Daddy suit spawns I'm already as 15 kills.
That's in a typical SoF game if I'm not lagging.
@CrispyWaffles, this isn't Facebook.
Tact isn't my strongsuit, I will say one of the reasons this game will forever stay in my favorite list is because of the fact that I can win by playing like a complete idiot whereas in Halo or COD you have to be smart, I love the fact that I can win games with absolute bullishness and being too stupid to back down from a fight. In most other fps games it's about knowing when to engage in a fight, in bs2 it's about winning that fight you should not have even started.
Playing on my alt account, which is nearing level 30, I can win some matches. I think mostly because it isn't a bunch of nading and *zap* HS. Plus, you don't have to worry about losing half your kills to kill stealers when everyone has rez. But on my normal account where the games are filled with level 50 rebirths, I get slaughtered. I know what my skill level is, and I know what type of game I like to play (i.e. not zap zap HS spam nade spam nade spam nade). If I could stay level 30 forever, I would never put this game down. Unfortunately, this is just another option that doesn't exist. So once the alt levels up, well, I don't know what I'll do.
you shouldn't call out the mormon community on the forums
Ideally yes, that's how a FFA works, but (in my experience with FFA's) you kill 1 and literally as soon as you get the notification on your screen there's another behind you electrospamming you to prevent you from any killstreaks whatsoever (add rez and it's 10x more frustrating)... When the game first came out I played SOTF a lot then gave up because of that factor. and whenever I revisit FFA's, it's still the same thing for me, or failing that (like a lobby of lesser players) it just gets monotonous.
I prefer a mode where kills aren't the only way to win the match. On that note, even FFA adam grab is more fun for me provided nobody is exploiting any glitches. In AG, you can be bad at killing enemies as long as you can evade them. In my experience with modes where kills are the only factor that will win the match (team or solo), players tend to use more spammy try-hard tactics/loadouts as a first option. Again, this is all just my personal observation based mostly on ps3 since I only played a few FFA matches on xbox. During my brief time on xbox, I did a lot of TAG and some CTS.
Most of you guys know me and what my brain guts look like and that i'm an average xbox player. Antway, about 5 days ago i bought bs2 for my ps3. Even with the crap contoller i'm trying to get used to, i've won more sotf matches then i ever have on the box. I'm not just talkin about playing mostly noobs in the early ranking, I've actually been spanking some good RB 50s now that i've made it up to 26 or so. I don't know whether it's the lack of lag or that maybe i'm catchin people by surprize because of my lower ranking. So i never though i'd say this, but, i'm kinda leaning toward the ps3. And if i can get ahold of a Cross Battle adapter so i can use my xbox controller i might, just might be a force to be reconed with....did i just say that? WHAAAT!!!
Also, i'm relly amazed at how different the gameplay is on the ps. Poeple are hopping all over the place like jumping beans and dashing around soo much it really is giving me a new outlook on this game and forcing me to change my style. I'm also looking fwd to being able to use these new toys when as i rank up.

A lot of R50s you see now are just boosters. Level doesn't always equate to skill I must say. It's usually painfully obvious how they got their level when you run in to these guys.
that is soooo not nice.
Going to ask you all nicely, please don't start the old console wars. They usually end up with someone getting properly offended. If you can't discuss without being rude, the thread will be closed.
imo Xbox beats ps3 just based on the community if you want me to elaborate just ask and i will gladly only if ppl ask
Why do people have to ask before you post an explanation of your opinion? you just opened that can of worms, why not spill it? especially since you're digging up a thread that hasn't seen action in a week to post a vague statement.
I won't disagree that the communities are different... beyond that would be subjective, IMHO
If you were to pin me down for an explanation, I would have to say the main difference is that the xbox community seems to have stayed more unified over the course of time... I'm not saying either community is better, just different. There seems to be more of an "ebb and flow" in the ps3 community than the xbox, and there are multiple reasons why it has taken shape that way... mostly immaturity in a handful of the players and misunderstandings in general, BUT that leads to another significant difference between the consoles: xbox has the superior voice chat system.. communication makes a difference.
Started over on the ps3 a couple of weeks ago and was pleasantly suprized with the lack of lag vs the 360 but, the last couple of days i've experienced worse lag than i've ever had on the 360. So i'm kinda on the fence as far as which is better.
well because it might offend a lot of people of the complete nade spam in every game and lobby that i am in since it is completely oppressive just better to shy away from it
