Cannot create account in My2K

Hi everyone,

I just bought NBA 2K12 on steam yesterday hoping I could play online (I already have the game on 360 but I don't have xbox live).

The game works fine but when I try to enter the online mode, it asks me to enter my birth date and the CD-Key, username etc.. The problem is that 10-20 seconds in the process of entering the information, it just stops and tells me the connection has been lost, check your cable and try again.

I try again, I enter the birth date, username, cd-key, and bam it just stops again and I have to do it again.

Tried more than 10 times but it just won't let me.

Is there any solution to this?
