-while reserecting gl are empty (to prevent cuicide or just remove rez completly)
-les splash damage (the range of the grenades is rediculous not even close and stil damaging)
-self kill with GL cost 10 adam and you must wait 15 sec. instead of 10 to get respawned

PS: making the reload time longer wont be effective *gough* Box Spam *gough*

i believe Xen is the only person who should run around with a nade launcher. if you can't headshot or aim with one you shouldn't use it. lol

There are about 4,938,127,923 Rapture inhabitants that disagree with you.

There isn't anyone that necessarily should.

agreed, though I don't think Bio2 MP ever saw that many players... all platforms considered.

No, seriously, I counted. Took awhile, but I wanted an accurate census.

I say once you pass a certain level, they should disable GL... Or at least if you have resurrection/leg up equipped... Tch, the "rebirth players" are using this weapon more than the noobs

Some people make the GL an interesting addition to a match ,like xen. The others totally kill the fun.

Thanks for the compliments I make the best effort to use the GL as a weapon. Not a "I hope I hit something" tool. I've been off-line for about 3 days now and I'll be in Rapture tonight so expect me to be a bit rusty. I do agree that if the player has at least rez in their loadout they shouldn't be able to use the GL. It's a cheap tactic. I think that's one of the things that kills a match for me. Rez. That and player who nut hug each other all match.

Honestly, I respect a Good GL user. Someone who uses it as a weapon, and not a crutch or get out of jail card.

Which is, Sadly, what most use it as. Such a shame, players like Xen/Astro give me hope in honest GL users though.

..And me, when I bring it out. I like headshots with it.

That you do, I remember that match all of us had for fun. The whole Houdini/V.Boost round. Man, I did so poorly. However, I did get you a lot with those homing grenades. Whole match looked like a scene from The Matrix.

I feel for you. I started the annual Spring Yard Work phase and it sucks. I managed to get on about 40 minutes yesterday due to high winds (couldn't spray the weed and grass killer). But other than that, I may get 30 minutes or so tomorrow to game. After that, not a single chance until Sunday. If I play something other than BS2 tomorrow, it will have been close to a week. THAT would be ugly. It's amazing how quick the aim and reactions go. In fact, yesterday, my first death was due to trying to shoot and fire a plasmid using the controls for Uncharted 2. It didn't end well.

    OMG don't say yardwork...

LOL I feel ya... Same thing always happens to me when I go back to L4D after being used to my Bio controller setup. I wish all games let you customize the button functions the way you can in Bio2MP...

Just out of curiosity, have you customized your setup? or do you use the default...

Customized. I wanted melee in the R1 when I started using backstabber. And I made L3 jump so I could do that more easily. Oh, another reason I moved melee off R3 where I had it was I kept accidently meleeing and interupting my firing sequence. So I now have (I don't even remember what default is):

    L1- switch plasmid
    L2- Fire plasmid
    L3- Jump
    R1- Melee
    R2- Fire weapon
    R3- Switch weapon

    Square is reload
    Triangle is crouch
    X is hack
O is never used but is set to zoom

I've tried to revamp it on occasion but I am just to used to it now. Every time I try and switch it, it messes me up badly. So I am stuck with it.

That's really similar to mine. but I use R3 to fire weapon, R2 to melee, and R1 to switch weapons. I don't dare change it up at this point... I've become too used to it, and it's fairly intuitive for me, especially pulling off no-stuns when I round a corner and find myself face to face with an enemy. Pushing R3 is a surprise reflex at this point.

For a while when I first started deviating from the default, I had R3 as jump, but I found myself jumping when I tried to fire a shot... Usually I'd miss, but occasionally I'd still land the headshot and it would look awesome

The main reason I sought a different button to fire weapon is the way I have to grip the controller... I noticed that when I pull the R2 trigger I move the whole controller in my hands and thus screw up my precision shots. It's still a challenge to push R3 and stay on-target while moving around constantly (especially with the machine gun), but overall It works better for me than R2. I had to re-dial the sensitivity to get it to work with constantly moving around, though... (hint, I had to bump it up higher than what I was used to)

I'll never forget when I first made R3 my fire-weapon button... I did a private match by myself to test the comfort level, it felt ok, but I wanted a REAL test, so I went into a SOTF match (which I rarely play), and I was landing headshots just as reliably as with R2... I even won the match... After that match, I knew it was fitting for me.

Moving the controller is exactly why I would never be able to use R3. Mine seems to take a lot of effort to push. When I am playing BS2, I often sit with my legs crossed with the controller on my lap. That's what stops it from moving. But I get a bit stiff after awhile. BS2 is the only game I do that with.

I used to play with my legs outstretched into a four shape on my bed, while still upright from the waist up. It felt strange whenever my legs weren't crossed when I still did so, haha.

see BB i tried having fire as L3 but i ended up just shooting the ground lol.
but back on topic i believe their are some players who are allowed to have the grenade launcher, those do not include level 40+ who are too afraid to come up and get me so they try and shower me with nades. and my god, if your a vet and using homing grenades what the poop are you doing in rapture? gtfo out lol
me on the other hand i learned a very long time ago i can't use GL or i will kill myself accidently of course i'm just that terrible with it. so all level 40+ on these forums reading this for the love of god put your big girl panties on and at least stop using the homing grenades. i'm sure you can attempt to learn to aim. that is all.

I have a love/hate relationship with homing grenades. For one there good in tight spaces like hallways and small rooms. My hate comes from the jack rabbits who hop all over the place, can't hit'em. I've used the dreaded insect swarm/homing nade combo before and felt dirty after. It felt way to cheap to use. Now I'm aim for GL headshot with velocity boost. Working on skill over general spamage I do. Even though I aim the nade launcher I want to make it a respectable weapon.

I just wish the reticle was a bit different for the gl... would make it easier to aim for the head at longer ranges. Of course, once I finally get around to getting new glasses that might help things too. 15 years with the same prescription is starting to catch up with me.

I find the GL bothering me less and less. It now truly is only the suicider that makes me hate the thing. Of course I say that because I haven't run in to any nade hoard teams lately. I do hate that too.

Agreed. Those are the two scenarios involving gl that truly irritate me to the core of my being... aside from an accomplished high rank player with a lot of hours under their belt camping in the highest spot possible and just lobbing nades on everybody below after taking damage bonuses on everybody on the enemy team.

Had a guy try that on the museum map not to long ago. He was on top of the skeleton in the middle of the turret room. It worked once, then a simple headshot ended that.

Yes I do... and I've had the exact same pair of glasses since you were born that's why I'm overdue for a new set. It even said on my original prescription "Once TheEpicFish turns 15, you'll need a new pair"... I had no Idea what that meant at the time, but it all came together... just like the gypsy said it would.

Well you should've gotten a pair more than a year ago. Those gypsy brand glasses were never really that reliable in all fairness.

ROTFLMAO!!! I only bought the frames from the gypsy... the prescription was legit, for the mid 90's... Next time I'll get both the eye exam and the frames at the mall... If you buy it at a mall, you know it's quality.

I used to use it but I hate it with a passion now especially douches who pop in and out of cover shooting homing grenades!! but then again I now hate EB CB combo as that takes no skill either it's all about the no stuns nowadays! although I would whip out EB for clan battles for the safer option but never again for ranked matches....

No, I feel shame at spamming noobs (unless they start it first) it's the higher up I enjoy toasting. Nothing like taking down a head hunter with a well placed explosive.

I have this sick pleasure of going into adam grab and nade spamming the boosters. I'll go there and test loadout on them till I get bored.

That's one of the things I do, I also try to get them off the turrets and make them fight. I've had that happen a few times. I've also sister camped in which I pick off the person who goes after the sister. I feel I'm allowed to be a douche bag in Adam Grab. I've come across a few of the booster in sotf and it was good to see them try a different mode of play. I mostly go there to blow off steam. Makes me feel good, but I can only play about 2 to 3 matches before I get really bored.
