    Big Daddy type...?

What type of Big Daddy is this one?

He doesn't look like the one's in the Gameplay Videos or the trailers, I've never seen him before, Especially with that Red on the front of his (face?)

Besides the color of his visor, how does he appear different to you than the ones in both gameplay videos?

Maybe the fishbowl visor changes color depending on his mood. Red could mean he's on a rampage, possibly due to the player killing his last Little Sister, who is not present in that screenshot.

Makes sense, and he certainly looks to be engaging the player in a hostile manner in the screenshot.

It's a traffic signal. He's telling you not to pass. If it's green, you're good to go. They're normally yellow when they're on patrol, which is how you usually see them, which means "caution - Little Sister crossing".

Could also relate to difficulty of the enemy, so you have a general idea that this daddy isn't going down as easy as the last...

Ok. So far as it's been revealed, there's three big daddy base forms with some weapon or equipment varieties.

    there's this

My guess is, the player is crouched in this screenshot. Thus everything appears to be taller.

i would guess the same... as far as i know there are two (affirmed) versions of the BG... a "bouncer" and a "rosie". this one is, like pn18 already posted, a rosie...

I'm not exactly sure why it is, but on this board there seems to be a real aversion to researching the promotional material about the game-and there is plenty of it out there. If you notice my earlier post I included the third type of big daddy, plus http://www.bioshock-online.com/index.html has compiled media and interviews.

we didn't see/hear anything about stealth in BioShock yet and i personally think it's not going to be very sophisticated if it will be implemented... BX is more about slow walking and thinking what to do next, but stealth doesn't seem to play any role at all...

Were you sure about this? Cause it's wrong too.

    Thanks, I'm here all week.

Seriously, I didn't intend it to sound the way it probably does- humor isn't easily communicated via text. My point being, the information is out there, handily on one site. Why not just take a moment to familiarize yourself before offering an opinion? That way you have an informed opinion.

i don't know what you are trying to achieve, but this forum is online for people who are waiting for BioShock and want to discuss about things related to the game... and now back to the topic :P

We've seen the Rosie (rivit gun) BD in "hunting the BD" and in the very first gameplay vid with Ken.

We've seen the Bouncer (drill hand) BD in the latest gameplay montage.

So far, we have only seen the third variant BD in the concept image and 1 or 2 screens.

well this big daddy crries a weopon but the other one that weve seen in some videos has the drill hand so i think there are two types

I really like it how the color shows their mood, I guess that it adds a little more personality to them since you can't see their facial expressions.
