The Darkness 2 no sound issue

I was so exicted for the Darkness 2 I D/Led it and played it for a hour. Then when I decided to play it again I have no sound.. Everything seems fine with sound drivers and volume controls. The only weird thing is in the ingame options under audio devices it says undefined and will not let me change it. any advice?

to anyone having zero sound....go to microsoft and download directx it fixed all sounds for me.
