PSM3 gave it a 8.1
they said the story is really good and even compared it to Bioshock and Half-Life.
one of the biggest negatives was the boss fights. And apparently the game is only about 6 hours long.

Sounds pretty good, especially the part with the story.
The 6h long campagin though doesn't sound too great, but I can't find anything in the linked text stating that?

I usually take way longer then the time listed in most reviews.
Reviews saying FEAR 3 was about four hours, I took almost 9. Reviews saying DNF was 6, I took 15.

Yeah, same here. Now we know why the developers dodged the question about length... kind of a shame though, I was looking forward to playing this game with friends at first. Guess I'll wait for the inevitable 75% sale in a few months, 4-5 hours of 75° FoV corridor shooting is definitely not worth 70 bucks for me.for me its the opposite. Awesome! I always take any review with a grain of salt, I make up my own mind once I get my hands on the controller & play for myself.
i am still going to get the game but hopefully there is a ton of DLC that makes the game longer, 6 hours is just ridiculous i was hoping for double that, still really excited for the game though

As well I know I will be playing through on new game+ many times.If you like talking to characters, exploring and hearing backstory: 10-12 hours. If you skip and avoid the optional conversations/relics etc.. and do a critical path run, 6-7 hours. Add Vendettas, which has its own campaign + a whole bunch of one off missions that can be done co-op OR by yourself.

Sad to hear about the short campaign, but since they liked the co-op mode that will give the game more hours to play.

overall quite positive & it's good to read the story really does play a big part in the game, a little disappointed the Darkiling doesn't feature more, I was hoping for something to replace the creeping darkness as a stealthy option.
Any word on the FOV?
The FOV is the same as the demo. There's no in game option to change it.
Basically, if you couldn't get past the FOV in the demo... you're going to be unhappy here as well.
Personally, I think the FOV is fine. Yeah it's a bit narrow... but it's not problematic like Metro 2033's or CoD's. It doesn't give my tunnel vision or a headache. Feels fine.
