    WTF this message should have spoilers in large letters on the top of it!!! I have just read everything that is going to be in the game. What the hell is the point in buying it now? How stupid was that? Why the hell would you want readers of this forum to know exactly all the aliens and tech that will feature in the game. Bloody ridiculous.

    Firstly it's not everything that's in the game, it some of what they've released, they released more info recently.

    Uhh.. this is all information released BY THE DEVS. So it's marketing info, not spoiler info.

    In one thread you started, you question whether it's XCOM because the city maps are too dark. You assume the reason for no skyranger deployment is 'to make the game faster'. In it, you come across negative and uncertain about the game.

    This thread supplies a ton of links to interviews, so you can find out the facts and how your assumptions compare to them... and now you're complaining that you have so much info, there's no point in buying the game.

    Bloody ridiculous is right.

    What's the sitch on "Purchase/Recruit" and "Sell/Sack"? That was a pretty integral part of the original game when it came to managing low funds or running out of general store space.

    You can hire soldiers and sack them, buttons have been seen in the Base UI.
    There don't seem to be a 'stores' or 'living quarters' limit in the game though, only limit to squads and workshop/lab capacity.

    hey hello, I remember at the earlier previews me watching the possibility of chose the nationality of your soldiers, but in the last videos posted a few days ago that feature disapeared, somebody know if that will change in the final version?

    Outsiders are an alien species. I made a thread about it from the OXM videos, but it's buried.

    They're the ones that appear out of the growing crystals.

    It is definitely out: you cannot change nationality and sex, but everything else is fair game.

    Barracks is limited to 99 soldiers.

    Bases question

    IS IT TRUE that you can only have one bases in the whole earth in the game?? or is it that you can have only one bases per counrty? And we can only have one interceptor per base??? if the intercepors are anything like the original. . . the air battles are going to suck. i will go bankrupt replace interecptors. whatcha got for me XCOMMERS?

    Only one main base but several interceptor bases exist, any of whom can accommodate up to four interceptors.

    Hi, since there is only about 20 days until the game is released I find that updating this list is no longer motivated. There is still a lot of things that could be added to this list.

    However, rather than adding to this list that will be obsolete shortly I have moved my work focus to the Ufopaedia.org wiki site. This will be more beneficial for the community since there is really a ton of sources now if you want to research all the released videos.

    Good idea. I just looked at the ufopaedia. It's a great place to reconcile the information.

    Why is the weapon damage so low on UFOpedia? Is that the damage on "Impossible"? Every gameplay video on classic has pistols doing up to 2, assault rifles doing up to 4, etc.

    Yeah weapons do have a range, but i think they actually do have a base damage, a single number, but end up doing slightly more or less.

    For example, assault rifle do 2-4 damage, so there base is 3, at least thats my impression so far.

    I have already been mentioned that the damage values seem to be dropped by -1 on the demo than on the gameplays. I'm just waiting for the game to be released to confirm that information and change it.
    The values listed are for based damage. Those don't seem to change with difficulty levels.

    Yes! There was some soldiers from Ukraine in demo Thanx to Firaxis
    But one thing is weird. I dont know if it was coz of "demo" but... is there really no "xcompedia"? I mean technology description and other interesting things to read. In demo i seen only extremely short description of rifle, for example.

    If there is one, i haven't seen it, although all the research has an archive, and the weapons and stuff all have descriptions, so maybe they felt it wasn't necessary to have a separate ufopedia as well.

    I don't get it, why did Steam for a bit say Oct 11th release for me and now it says the 12th? Why did the NA release actually get moved up (so they have it another day earlier - 8th instead of 9th) and now everyone else gets it even a day later?

    Are you sure? For me its still 11th. It is just marketing (not best marketing strategy if you ask me).

    As I already said: They have set the international unlock now to European time (it should now unlock at 0am on the 12th in the UK I think). Before, it would unlock at 0am on the 12th somewhere closer to the Date Line (or even at the Date Line), that's why it would have been the 11th in Europe.
