What's YOUR favourite weapon in Bioshock?

Title says it all. What do you use as your weapon of choice?
I like to use the wrench you get on the first level, personally. But otherwise I use the machine gun on hard enemies (eg. The Big Daddys)

The crossbow, especially when you get all the upgrades. The machine gun is not accurate enough I think, and when you start running into the leadheads it's even less useful. Other than that, I tend to rely on plasmids a lot (when I have them). The best weapons for fighting BDs are really telekinesis (the heavy artillery of Bioshock), hypnotize, and hacked bots.

The shotgun and crossbow, these two have always been my favorites.

The Crossbow and the Chemical Thrower. Especially when fully upgraded, they are fantastic. Napalm is my friend...

The crossbow is a revelation isn't it. Laying traps and getting some sensational long range one shot kills. The shotgun is awesome too at close range and great fun to use in a melee. I love head shots with anti personnel rounds in the pistol, so it is hard to pick a favourite.

Surprisingly, its the wrench that I always end up using on the later stages at the hardest skill settings, and I read one FAQ which labelled it as next to useless. We all play it differently I suppose.

You know, I really don't like the pistol in BioShock. I think it's really difficult to aim with, and a bit underpowered. I never purchase upgrades for it though.
