    Can someone answer this?

    I found out that my processor is a 1.66 GHz (2 CPUs)
    and the game minimum requirement is 1.8 GHz. Is this the reason why i can't start this game? Or is it maybe something else?

    The CPU speed alone shouldn't prevent the game from launching (although performance could be very poor if it's not a recent dual-core) but it does suggest to me that other components of your PC might not be up to handling Civ V.

    If you can post your DXDIAG so we can have more information, we can say for sure.

    If the 1.66 is what i think it is, it isnt the limiter on the machine you are using.
