BISHOCK 2 aborts on attempts to login Windows Live

I hadnt played for many months and yesterday I tried to run it again.

First I couldnt remember the account password.
I used the email method of setting a new password
Got the email and it set a new password.

I then started the game and created a new single player game and ran it for more than an hour with no problems (the password worked apparently and I logged in here which I assume uses the same pw). On quitting the game the program aborted with the typical 'send the crap to microsoft' abort popup (Im not sure it saved the game, but thats the least problem right now).

Today I tried tro run the game again (single player mode).
I tried logging in with no network (internet) connected and after entering user+pw and login the program aborted. (this used to work after you did it online once)
    I reconnected my internet .
I logged in with the correct info and the program aborted (never completed the login)
I restarted my computer with the network active and tried to login the program aborted(never completed the login).
I tried again it aborted before I could even enter the user + password.
I restarted from the play on the disk and tried to login (user+pw+login ) and it aborted
    Wash rinse repeat.

What is wrong with your system ???

I would like to play the game I PAYED FOR without all this login garbage you have foisted on the players.

Recently I played Bioshock One (started and ran the game dozens of times) and had NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER - no login no aborts no wasting of MY TIME on buggy software.

If there is an incompatible windows live system you need any all versions to have a way to renew it EASILY. If its a key problem constantly you need a sticky or even a seperate support page with links to get the new @#$%^&* windows live so that players can get past their problems. Dont tell me I need to look all around on you forums for a fix, that is not a valid solution for your customers. It needs to be easily found and used.

I test software for a living and this system you have is extremely flawed and no doubt costs your company alot of support $$$$$ money (which should be of interest to you even if you dont care about making your customers experience less a pain).

What do I have to do to get this program you sold me to work?

Please convince me that I should ever by a product from your company again.
