    360 version vertical sensitivity issues.

I have Bioshock installed on my 360 through the Game Marketplace and I have had it there for a long time. However, recently in the past several months I've been having problems with the vertical sensitivity. When looking up or down, the sensitivity becomes rather slow. When looking in any diagonal direction, it gets even slower. Horizontally, everything is fine. I've messed with every in-game option and 360 option that deals with controller sensitivity, and nothing fixes it.

This has not always been an issue: it's only been an issue for about 6 months. I don't know when it started exactly, but that's a general idea. Is there a fix for this or does anyone have any suggestions?

Do you notice the sensitivity issue in other games? It is possible that your controller's sticks are wearing out. If not then continue on with this comment:

For the 360 version there is exactly one thing you can do and it has two flavors: clear the cache. One is a partial clear (for Bioshock only) and the other is a system wide clear (all games on the console). Beware, if you clear the cache fully then all games you play will have to re-download their patches the next time you go to play them. You will probably have to re-download any DLC on your console also if you do a full-clear.

See the instructions: here (at the bottom).

The issue as to whether or not this will work is something else. Those instructions are supposed to be obsolete, as in you shouldn't have to do it. However, there is simply nothing else to try.

There is one other thing. You could delete your game from your hard drive and re-download it from the marketplace. All of your purchases are backed up to your Xbox LIVE account so you can re-download anything you've bought in the past for free.

No, I don't have this problem in other games. I tried clearing system cache shortly after posting this thread and it didn't fix it either. I suppose I'll try redownloading the game and see if that helps. I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that, but I guess it's the next best thing to try. Thanks for the replies. I'll post here again if the problem persists.

Please do post back for both it working or not. If it works someone else in the future may find this thread through a search engine and it would be nice for them if there was a "this worked!" post.
