"2K Insider celebrates 2K's most hardcore fans. Over the next few months, we'll be rolling out an exclusive beta program for our most devoted community members. Membership is limited to the most active and avid followers of the 2K family – if you are regular visitor to our sites, an esteemed member in our forums, or have a slew of our platinum trophies and a huge 2K gamerscore, 2K Insider is for you.
Insiders will gain access to a private site where they will be able to chat with the 2K dev teams as well as other members. We'll also be arranging a number of Insider parties and events (both online and off) and inviting members to join us at key 2K-only events (like our launch parties). Insiders will also gain VIP status at shows (and some of our press-only events) and receive swag made exclusively for Insiders. I am assuming it is a thing for people who are active on the forums and may have registered some of their games and I am talking about it on the 2k games facebook page as well it seems legit.

I don't know but the fact I got it when I only have 398 posts while everyone else has 1,000+ is weird.

Well most likely you will need to be 18 though I'm not quite sure on that one, and I don't know exactly how many people got them so we will just have to wait and see what happens.

Well, i think only common posters and buyers of 2K games get the message (well, that's what the e-mail said). After all, getting a gift for playing 140+ hours of Bioshock 2 and posting and the fourms is ace in my book.

Here's a question, how can they know if you bought the games? not like their registered on the 2k forums so unless they're illegally monitoring your steam account as well then they're sending these invites solely by forum activity

It's fantastic incentive for members to be more productive on the forums and get back into the swing of things. We've been lacking a bit of lustre. Genuinely happy to see some of you though. Xx

So weird. I never lose track of email addresses. I just keep adding them to iMail. I think I have about 5, but only one is really active. Far too many friends that I'd lose track with of I let the others go, even if they only email every few months. This is why they need Facebook. Damn facebook haters. :P

It's not that I lost track of that particular email address, it's just that it gets bombarded with so much spam that I rarely ever check it.
