After reading the opinions of several forum members in my "island restart"thread i've decided on the criteria/rules for being able to call a restart in my own king title defenses. Of course, if/when someone else becomes king it's then up to them to decide if they are going to even allow restarts. Here are criteria/rules:
Must be called by 3700 bc.
Can be no greater than 13 tiles.
Must initiate diplomacy before leaving game so opponent can verify that you really were on island. If u forget to initiate diplomacy before leaving OR it turns out that it isn't actually an island OR that it's >13 tiles it's an automatic forfeit.
After discussing it with Ray_tupper a little I've decided to change cut-off date to 3700 bc.

Ok, it's good that there is a little action on the PS3 side, but some help here would be good (unless you guys are not really bothered about the comp thread?)
So, Jap has started with some kings of tier threads, but the separate threads for Japanese and Spanish confuses things a bit - Jap - have you actually won the Spanish title?

Yes jack I actually won the spanish title from newsgothic. Im defending it right now from ray tupper. I'm up 1-0. I won the japanese title from unbeatendoja. News has the upper middle tier title and I'm playing him for it right now. Its the first defense and was never played for. Star has the middle tier title and it also is being defended for first time.
Ok, cool. Just I couldn't see any reference to the Spanish game after you went 1-0 up vs news.
What about layout in general? You want to run with separate threads for each civ or keep them all in here and go with separate ones for the 'tiers'?

OK, I posted it in post 2 of the comp thread and listed the vacant ones - you guys have a lot to play for!
The colours are maybe a little tacky and hard to read? Can't for the life of me remember what colour the Zulu are?
They're like a light blue colour aren't they? Tealc, bluey greeny, I'll claim Greek if nobody has already.

from what I gather from the comp thread (which looks mint, good work) Zulu and English are free, I would like either of them please

Ray V Angelus to claim the English king title... Game one, this game did me zero favours at all, 1st I lose to barb, 2nd i'm just about to learn irri but resync locks it out, 3rd my blitz HA loses 12 Vs 3!!! I quit Angelus goes 1 up

Got in first two games of japanese title defense versus mario09. went 1-1. First game I get 100 gold first and get soc for ge and ga. When we meet horse wars start and I end up flipping his city with ha in it... Second game I start on big island and he gets madrid for navigation. I play on a little but then concede shortly after. GGs mario.
Few weeks ago I have played raven for Indian title and luckily won it so i guess I'm Indian king nowor mayby not....
Finished my games w/ Ray_tupper at 3-1. Looks like i'm english king. Details later.

Is frelinder (Dalagatan) still active? If so, i'd like to challenge him for roman title some time. If he's not, can i play someone for it?
think hes no longer playing... lets me and you play for roman title. you can host first game... i dont mind... But we still need to play for middle tier, arab, and finish tourney games. shouldnt be too hard though.

Me and ray started our aztec series. its tied 1-1. I won the first won captured his settler. Second game he wins. I didnt play as well as shouldve. He actually flanked me with one cat army and aa for defense with a galleon support. Had a lightning ha prepared to counter but he attacked it off the boat and won 7.5 to 6. risky move but it paid off. Im embarassed that that weak attack beat me. anyway... 1-1 and I plan to cut his head off and take the crown after I clean the blood off.
Dalagatan is still playing. He's using this new gametag "Plopsky".
Well hes not very active and isn't around to defend his crown.
Me and Ray just played game 1 for Egyptian crown since it's vacant. I make a hell of a comeback to win. Details later.
Here are few details of game 1 for egypt title w/Ray. We actually have to do a restart cause we both freeze and even though Ray has CoR it's far from being a won game... In restart, Ray gets good start. He gets Spain for Nav and also takes out Russia. I walk for while and finally settle w/ 3 desserts, 1 water, and no trees. Only reason i wasn't too worried settling w/out production was cause was planning to take close-by Karakorum with a WA. Which, luckily, i did with a 3-2.5 battle. If i'd lost that i would've quit cause had no gold left. Built lots of horses and lost a bunch. Only had 1 surviving HA out of 3. But, i ended up winning game with that GG Ninja, Blitz, march, HA. Built a whole lot of legions but never needed them. Took Ray's cap for Nav and bunch of his other cities. Wouldn't have done it w/out that HA and the Oracle i took from Ray. gg ray.
Wow, Star, that is quite a gamble. Not sure I would have settled without trees. Just today, I lost a vet WA 4.5 v. 2.5 around 3000 BC—almost 2:1 odds. I know, almost only counts in horseshoes.
That's one busy HA getting all those upgrades.
I know it was but i had already wasted bunch of turns walking and 3 desserts are good for egypt as long as i could defend city. Which i did throughout game. It was never in any danger. It became my biggest and best city tradewise. Got free market there. I made close- by Karakorum my barracks city and i had it pumping out legions entire game. Turns out i didn't need them.
I am now the king of the arabs. I defeated star 3-2 in a bloody battle to the death. Any one with the balls to challenge me im ready!
Yeah, nice comeback from being down 2-0 jap. I thought i had it in the bag. I got careless. Oh well...Live and learn, i guess.
I just beat newsgothic in game1 of my second title defense series of the american crown. He got a measly artist while i got a builder. Nuff said... It was over by 3100 bc.
It was a hell of a comeback I forgot to refortify my AA in cap after that pain in the ass knight disrupted them, just before I took it back my screen kept shifting over to Madrid to show me your blummin armies, so I never got a chance to quickly make an archer and attack your HA with my own, it did that every single turn after, very annoying, great comeback though that ggHA basically owned the map I just managed to get a cat army together in that last city after accidentally settling the GH in the Russian cap but cause it kept shifting to Madrid and I didn't get a chance to form it.
Funny u mentioned that screen shift thing. I was getting it too, lol. I was worried i had another controller messing up. I just bought a replacement recently... The Oracle came in handy. It's really nice when it works. Although, it was a double-edged sword in this game. Even though it let that GG triple elite HA run rampant thru your cities it wouldn't let me attack Madrid with all those LA parked right next to it. I kept getting the damnable big red X. If you'd stayed in game, i would've had to go for a non-dom win probably.
