Stop harrassing us with Civworld ads! (And how to remove it)

Today a 'patch' downloaded.
Unfortunately it was only an ad for Civworld. Again.

If I wanted to be playing Civworld, I would. The first time you spammed it on us.
I'm not because I don't like it. It doesn't mean it's a bad game perse, It's just not my thing.

But what I do dislike is that Civworld is being spammed in Civ5.
I can imagine ads for DLC and such, because it has something to do with the game, it's aiming at the right customer base. But Civworld doesn't have anything to do with Civ5 itself and as such doesn't have a place there.

Please refrain from harrasment next time

And to make this topic a bit more useful than the rant itself, here's how to remove the ad:

Go to [steam folder]\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization v\assets\UI\FrontEnd

Open MainMenu.lua and look for this section:

Change the latter month into 10, save, and it'll be gone.

On a different note: Can we be expecting something on the 19th of november?
My memory is vague about the last time there was a Civworld ad, when that timer ran out (12th of august?) was it succeeded by something? A DLC or patch?

I wouldn't go so far as to call it harrassment. It's just an ad and thankfully it doesn't actually get in the way in any way other than being present at the main menu.

I don't really like the ad but that's only because I don't like CivWorld.

Yeah, maybe the wording was a bit strong

But I'm a bit annoyed that
A. It's the second time they're advertising Civworld. Was one time not enough?
B. The whole news-blackout (about Patches, DLC or Expansions) is very frustrating
C. I was disappointed when I thought it was a patch, but it was just an ad that has nothing to do with the game.

A. No, I bet they are losing players to farmville and some brainiac thought that new players could be easily gathered by pestering us.

B. Starting to feel a bit agitated myself, and I'm one of those 'fanbois' according to some visitors. I just wish we could have even a teeniest bit of info. Let it be announcement about upcoming patch, DLC or expansion.

C. As I said in another thread, I think (hope) that this means that somethings on its way. Last time this tiny download without any announcement happened, it was just before Korea DLC. IIRC.
