I recently made a post here about some gameplay problems I was having related to my rather old video card and I got some really great help and advice so I thought I would tap that friendly expert knowledge once again.

My current video card is an ATI Raedon 2600 HD. It has served me very well but it's starting to hit it's limit.

My computer is a Dell XPS 420. This biggest issue (I think) is the 375 Watt power supply. Most cards I look at on Newegg suggest 400 minimum. I also use Vista 32 bit which I have never had any problems with except the fact that 32 bit limits you to 3MB RAM (I have 4 installed). The OS and RAM will likely be the next thing I upgrade for that reason.

I *think* I need to use a PCI express card but on newegg, I see different types of PCI Express (2.0, 2.01, x16) and I don't know what the difference is.

So, if anyone can explain some of these things or suggest a really good card that will work nicely with 375 power supply, I would be very grateful. I have always used ATI (AMD) and been very happy with them but would consider Nvidia as well.
