Other Ways to get Construction Medals
Hello all, I'm currently trying to get my 99% Prespiration Achievement, which means that I have to get 10 Construction medals.
The wiki says to get the Construction medals, I have to be the first to upgrade each type of building in the Civilization. I thought that was kind of hard, since there's about 11 or 12 buildings that can award medals in a game. if there are at least 2 people vying for the same and one of them got more than a couple, no one can get it.
Then I start observing through the ranks that other people are getting Construction medals that adds up to more than the number of building type available. So I'm sure that there is another way to get Construction Medals.
Can anyone tell me how?
Thanks in advance.

There is no other way. Move to a small civ where all the buildings have not been built yet, start your own civ if necessary.

You can get one medal for one type of building, but you can get them from different civs. (You can't get more medals for the same type of building even if you change to a small civ and build it there first). So do some civ hopping, try to be MVP in some key techs.
Then finally start your own civ, you carry over the techs you were MVP in them. Make use of the reduced science costs, get the missing techs and missing buildings.
If you are an experienced player, and dedicate one game only for reaching this achievement, you should get it quite easily.

I see, a civilization means a nation, not the game.
Thanks for the info.

Acutally, a nation is a nation...
The terms are used very imprecisely on the forum and chat, so it can be very confusing.
YOU are a Nation.
Your nation joins a Civilization(s).
The construction medal goes to the first nation to build a building in each civilization.
