Kill Beta before you kill the game! The game you produced, does not work. Therefore you should simply remove it, before you lose all inclination of anyone wanting to play the game, permanently.

I don't know if you have noticed 2K......... But while this game is locking people out and telling people they have been disconnected from the server, the ads for the other games are STILL working! And so are the advertised games. When people get tired of trying to make your game work and they see a similar game being advertised on the same page; they like me, are inclined to say "to hell with this," and move on to the other games instead.

You're an idiot. The point of a Beta Test is to work out the kinks and glitches. As a Beta Tester, you're playing the game specifically to find issues with it, and report them. You're job isn't to play the game and have fun. It's to find issues so they can fix them.

While the original poster was obviously rash, there needs to be something done in a concrete way to move beyond the "Beta" stage - the game has already peaked and died off on facebook, meaning many early adopters interested in the Civilization pedigree have likely moved on. I honestly think doing more to close off the game and limit new players at this point might be better as the numerous gameplay/technical issues are worked on. For what its worth I had a major civ merger/collapse last week that had I been a new player might have been enough to make me quit.
