    Unhappy End of game letdown

It was a great first game. I started out in the middle of the pack found a great civ. to join and slowly learned the ropes and worked my way to 9th place. Another civ. was doing better than us, but our two civs. together ruled the world. They got Hollywood and started dragging things out for the fame points and we decided it was time to end the game. Either intentionally or not, someone set the battle timer for the 3am my time. The other civ. was clearly trying for economic, science and domination victories. I went to bed at 11:30 wondering which civ. would win the era, how many fame points I would have at the end of the game and what my final ranking would be.

I woke up a little after 4 and realized I wouldn't be able to sleep until I satisfied my curiosity. So, I logged on, and , you guessed it, I got dumped into a new game without any of my new game friends (who were also in my time zone.) I played a bit last night in case I wanted to play today, but honestly I'm not interested. My addiction is broken for the time being. Now I understand why there are so many players who appear to have not played at all.

If there's a developer reading, all I expect is a single screen with my final fame and ranking (maybe with a few of those above and below so I know how close I was,) the final news items of the game and a "Start New Game?" button so I can choose when to start. If I don't click it, feel free to sign me up for a new game next time I start.

In the meantime, how long do I have to stay away before I'm out of the game? A few days? A week? However long the game lasts?

Finally, I received a message in the middle of the game that I was eligible to start a second game. I wasn't interested in playing two games at that time, but I now understand I should have started one that last day. Does anyone know how to do this? I thought about doing it then, while my great team could have coordinated which game on chat, but didn't know how.

I tried to post this before, hopefully it will work this time.

But you do have that. Full summary of how each civilization did, full ranking of all players, log of the latest era victories, wonders built, wars won. Go to your throne room and everything is listed under the relevant game.

a "Start New Game?" button so I can choose when to start.
But you can start any time you choose. Again, go to the throne room and you'll have the list of the games you can join available.

Check your finished game, your score should be there for a week.

But yes, agreeing that it's always a let down when they just dump you into a new game. Your idea of still log the player into the finished game and let them click on "start a new game" is great, now if only the devs would listen...

And you can always just click on quit game on your current one, if you don't intend on playing it.
