Give me 2nd play-through tips!

I just finished the game on normal yesterday.

I want to play through a second time, this time on hard (to get the rest of the achievements). I used a lot of plasmid-wrench combos to get rid of most splicers.
Do you guys have any suggestions that could make my 2nd play-through experience not just a harder version of the 1st one? I haven't used the chemical weapon and the crossbow too much, so I'll make sure to try those more once I get them. Any other ideas are welcome!

On my second playthrough on hard, I've been using everything a lot more. My first playthrough I was very frugal with eve and ammo, but I know that's not really necessary. So I'm using a higher variety of attacks. I'm using more plasmids, like telekinesis and incinerate. And I'm switching up my weaponry more often as well.

I'm using all the plasmids I ignored the first run through, like enrage and insect swarm, just to see what I missed out on during my first run. Also i'm not using the Vita chambers (only quick load) to make it more of a challange.
