    Intermittent server issues this morning (Wednesday 8/10)

    Hey guys,

    I just wanted to let you know that we're aware that some of you are experiencing issues trying to connect to your CivWorld games. We're having an issue with some of our servers and the devs are working to get everything restored.

    Update: All issues should be resolved. You should now see your CivBucks balance if you refresh the game.

    I posted this just a moment too late! I'm told that the server issues should be resolved now and you should be able to connect to your games.

    However, the CivBucks system is currently offline.

    not only purchasing system, civbucks are gone aswell

    will our civbucks be restored or is it yet another "unfortunate" bug which gives you folks money for nothing?

    LE: guys...wanna bet that they won't answer anything relating to the civbucks? )

    When the issue is fixed you should see your CivBucks in your account again. The issue has to do with communication to the server that handles CivBucks, so while that issue exists, the game just plain doesn't know how many you have.

    Update: I'm awaiting confirmation that this is indeed correct. Right now we're working on getting the issue fixed; I'll update you when I have final confirmation.

    I had to change my gameOver plan without civbucks. I just did it.
    But the surprise has turned nasty and quite nervous.
    My leadership position had to defend with fangs and teeth.

    Any chance you can let players know that when buying CivBucks they won't appear in the players account?

    Thanks for all the hard work at the beginning to fix the server connection - we could all see how many people it was affecting and you valiantly battled through. A really enjoyable, and WAY too addictive game, has absorbed many hours for me. Thanks.

    Can you post a screenshot of what the page looks like? It sounds like something might be wrong with your computer.

    just logged onto my account from my laptop which i havent played civworld on in 2 weeks and the same thing happened. tried on my fiances game. same thing. she's never played on the laptop at all.

    Do you know how to ping using the command line? Open a command prompt, and type "ping live.civilizationworld.com" then press enter and let me know what it says. You can copy and paste text out of the command prompt by: Right click, select "Mark". Then highlight all of the text in a box, then right click. Now paste it in to a reply here.

    Getting similar results to Jase19 when I try to ping:

    alright i fixed it.
    i just reset my modem and router and it's working now.
    zeb, unplug your stuff, let it wait about 10 sec and plug them both back in, see what happens.

    don't know why i didnt do this 2 hours ago... DOH

    thanks for pointing me in the right direction greg... i should've known better!

    The "Request timed out" is normal, but the IP that Jase19's request resolved to was not what it should have been. I'm glad to hear that resetting your router fixed it; it looks like your router may have had some cached DNS data that was incorrect, and resetting it would fix that.

    i probably would have surmised to doing that earlier had i got some sort of error, but the advertisement baffled me.

    I am having issues. Whenever I try to connect to game 2777 the status bar slowly fills then when it is done I get error code 010.
