I still play infrequently. I guess I felt like I got to the point where I was better than 95% of the people who played and could beat anyone depending on the start. Not saying anyone at anytime, just saying good enough. Now I just play whenever and annoy people who do not recognize my name by pounding them into the civ rev ether. Perversely satisfying.

I have also pretty much given up on the boards. I have surpassed my lifetime limit on what should they include in civ rev 2 threads and am tired of hearing someone say the Americans are not the most powerful civ, and what is a power civ and what is not, how to stop cheaters etc...... wish I had more patience and time for it but I guess we all cannot be blessed with Morte's complete lack of other interests and responsibilities.

I understand where you are coming from... but I think you should try to get involved in more player matches and tournaments. They are really the only thing worth playing. Ranked makes your game soft.
